I dont have any knowledge about how internet works. Can anyone suggest me a detailed book that covers how internet works , how and website works, ping commands, tracert etc. Thanks in advance.

TCP/IP Illustrated, Volume 1: The Protocols by W. Richard Stevens is the classic book about how the Internet works.

For a book with a little less detail but better coverage of modern technologies such as phone networks and WiFi, try Computer Networks by Andrew Tanenbaum.
