On the acquisition of gems v. 2
I propose once a day(midnight to midnight) in UTC time zone players can mine for the gems available in the game at the time. This is done by saying I mine x gems. X is to be replaced with the amount of gems rolled by a random dice roll on http://invisiblecastle.com And the gems mined shall be determined the same way.

OK, I've put this on the wiki (assuming you wanted it to replace your previous proposal, obviously). We'd need to all agree on a) how many gems you can get (on the first roll) and b) which number means which type of gems (on the second roll).

Are we now discussing the 'loot table'?

The way I see it, a player can just mine once a day (24 hrs), the results of which are up to the roll. This includes both quality and quantity of gems obtained.
So instead of saying "I mine X gems", a player would state something like "I do some MINING." Then the next player (or the player themselves) rolls and posts the result in resp. the next or same post.

Yeah, I assumed that was the case. What we need to figure out is the maximum number of gems that can be mined at once - i.e., the number the dice should be able to go up to.

Well, it's your proposition - you can change it to say the amount you want. (Plus which number means which gem on the second dice roll.)

Acquisition of gems V. 3

I propose once a day(midnight to midnight) in UTC time zone, players can mine for the gems available in the game at the time. This is done by saying I'm going mining for gems. mining is done by doing two separate rolls here. One roll is to determine the amount of gems from 1 to 12
and the second roll is to determine what type of gems.

    1. Sapphires
    2. Rubies
    3. Diamonds
    4. Topaz
    5. Beryls
    6. Emerald
    7. Citrine
    8. Opal
    9.Olivine
    10. Peridot
    11. Quartz
    12. Amethyst

Done.

ANOTHER CHANGE TO RULE 20
I propose that the following gem values are added to Rule 20: Diamonds can be cashed in for 25 points, Topaz can be cashed in for 5 points, Emeralds can be cashed in for 15 points, Citrine can be cashed in for 12 points, Opals can be cashed in for 16 points, Olivine can be cashed in for 4 points, Peridot can be cashed in for 10 points, Quartz can be cashed in for 9 points, and Amethysts can be cashed in for 18 points.

This is really just in case prop 12 is passed.

I'm for proposal 6.

I propose that people may have several votes, and that the number of votes needed to pass or repeal a motion be raised to 5 (and later even higher when players get more votes) If this motion is accepted, people get votes for the following:
* Playing Pure Nomic - 1 vote
* Membership in the Ethics council - 1 vote
* Seniority (having posted on a page with lower number than half the current page) - 1 vote
* Players may buy extra votes for 100 points per vote

That proposal needs a title to be valid. :)

No, I think I like my nickname, and would like to keep it.

Refinement of the voting system.

Votes may be used once on each proposal. If you do not mention how many votes you use, it is assumed that you use all your votes.

(a) it must have a clearly defined purpose
(b) it must be in principle open to any player (the exact method for determining membership in such a body to be determined at the time of its inception).
