Inverse "I would rather"

Postby Dr. Diaphanous » Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:23 pm UTC

The nonevil twin of this thread.

The aim is to think of a good thing to happen to you, while being worse than the previous post.
If the previous post was not a good thing*, you may post a new starting very good thing.

*Definition: you would not do it, if the option were available to you at a convenient time and for free (unless the thing explicitly involves losing money).

Example

>Receive $1000 000
>I would rather receive $1000 000 than get a new ferrari
>I would rather get a new ferrari than become famous
>I would not want to become famous.

This is 'inverse I would rather'. So you should say:

"I'd rather be a giant robot than a normal-sized robot."
Spoiler:
(Except you shouldn't, since that probably wouldn't be true. Also, there's nothing I would rather be than a normal-sized robot, so I couldn't write anything after that!)
