Make Up Words Game

Postby Pied typer » Tue Aug 16, 2016 12:32 am UTC

I'm back! Any of y'all miss me?

(Check out this new flag avatar: full rainbow + stars!)

Anywho, here's a simple game:
  1. Brainstorming session for new words.
  2. Vote on one to define.
  3. Anyone can enter their own definition for the word.
  4. Vote on a definition to go with.
  5. Rinse and repeat.
  6. Propagate your new vocabulary throughout the intertubes.

Obviously we start on #2. Here are some words:
Sloop \slüp\
Vrackut \vra kət\
Shriblub \shri bl,əb\
Zrikka \zrik'ə\
Enstrongulate \ən stroŋ gyü lāt\
Tircundrum \tər k'ən dr,əm\

The pronounciation guides are probably wrong in some way, but still useful for getting a general idea of how they're supposed to be said.

Current words (yes, I've played this elsewhere):
Spoiler:
blarf \blərf\
n. When something happens that defies high expectations and interests "Can you believe that she didn't show up! What a blarf!"

bliff \blif\
v. To quit a game in fear of losing; rage-quit

bliff
n. Someone who commits an act of bliffing

squilurge \skwil ərj\
v. To flow out of a hole with high viscosity

nublit \nüb lit\
n. A small piece of wood that's fallen of; splinter

nuble \nü bl\
adj. friendly but not supportive

mortigoose \mōr ti güs\
adj. subordinate
Hey, is my flairTM small enough for here?
