The Game of Patience

Postby username5243 » Sun Nov 13, 2016 3:10 pm UTC

You get as many points as the number of minutes between the last post and yours. However, there's one catch: If the gap between the posts is less than or equal to the current longest gap between posts, you get nothing.

For instance, let's say someone posts 10 minutes after this post. Then, the next player only gets time if they wait more than 10 minutes. IF that post is made after a wait of 20 minutes, then the next player will need to wait more than 20 minutes.

Note that you can still post to get nothing, but this only blocks people from posting.

Double posts are not counted, if you double post, your post is ignored and does not count for time. Note, however, that this also means you can't multi-post to block people from getting points.

Okay, now forget this thread exists...

Current longest gap between posts: 0 minutes

Now over one day, making this harder for my future self. Take this, future self!
Oh wait, I misunderstood something. Sorry about that.

I just realised that, and edited my post in the meantime to reflect this newfound understanding.

Moar pointz… although apparently it's not showing up on the scoreboard.

Chridd, I like your new scoreboard graphs, but there's definitely room for improvement. Like labeling the axes or removing the clutter at the bottom for popular games.

Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.
