lim[f(n-1)/f(n)] as n -> infinity

where f(n) = f(n-1) + 1 and f(0) = 3

Well, it does a good idea of what the fuck "marionic" means, and it is an accurate representation of mario crossed with sonic. AND, as far as things clearly drawn in MSPaint go, that is actually pretty good. However, "looks good for MSPaint" has no real bearing on just plain "looks good", so, 7/11.

A clever cross between "Marion" and "ionic". I like how there are bright colours, like many ionic solutions, while remaining the physical form of a mammal (almost all people called Marion are mammals). Also how the ions are forming brown crystals on the left side , presumably where they are coming out of solution.

Quite an obscure reference - Mari on ic. For those who didn't get it, Mari is an ancient Basque Goddess associated with weather, particularly rain and storms - as symbolised by the blue cloud-shaped symbol at the top of the avatar. IC means instrument cluster: the avatar has a central green button, with a small lever under it. To the right is a small black button, and a triangular button of undoubtable importance is positioned to the left. The large and small levers at the bottom could represent joysticks (these are probably the main input mechanism of the instrument cluster).

The hubris of this attempt to control the weather with engineering is highlighted by the red and orange fire that is raging on the IC: Mari's rain has short-circuited it. Thus Mari truly is on ic - physically above, but also "on top of" sensu "in control of".

(x-1)/x

where x = the current number in the "Can you count" thread.
