Random bitstream! (000zerozero000000zero)
Okay, so this game involves each person posting a bit (1 or 0). Every page or several, I'll try and stop by and put the whole bitstream together and report some statistics on it, to see if it passes various tests for randomness. (Anyone else who feels so inclined is welcome to do the same if they think I'm becoming remiss or if they have a test I don't run or whatever.)
If you want to be lame, just post a new bit occasionally without checking posts. For an extra challenge, read the several bits before yours and still try to make your entry truly independent of them.
Starting out:
1
Edit: I'll wait until there's a larger data set before actually doing the statistics.
Page 1: 1110101101111011111010000110010100011001
Page 2: 0111100011001111100101000010110111010101
Page 3: 1011100100100011010110001111111100111011
Page 4: 0110100111111011111000100101010110100110
Page 5: 1010111010011000101111011101011001100111
Page 6: 0001011010100101111000111111101011010110

Page 10: 0011010001110011011010100101100101101010
At this point, as a stream of bits, the entropy is .9738 bits per bit, so optimum compression could reduce it to that portion of the original. As bytes, it's 5.43 bits per byte, so apparently could be compressed by 32%. As bits the arithmetic mean is .5950, which is to be expected since some people only gave 1s.
As pairs of bits, the mean is 1.805 (1.5 expected)
As Hex, the mean is 8.83 (7.5 expected)
As bytes, it's 150.86 (127.5 expected)
As Unicode UTF-8, it's 뀀{耀exϔ-չ#Xÿ;iû U¦®½րg¥ ú֩ûԿûۀ:¿O¼4sjYj
As Windows 1252 Western European, it's ë{èexÏ”-Õ¹#Xÿ;iûâU¦®˜½Ög¥ãúÖ©ûÔ¿ÂûÛ:“¿O¼4sjYj
As DOS 437 United States, it's δ{Φex╧ö-╒╣#X ;i√ΓUª«ÿ╜╓gÑπ·╓⌐¥√╘┐┬√█:ô┐O╝4sjYj
Anything else people would like to know about it?

Hah! I'm intentionally ruining this by picking a random number (D12%2-1. I rolled a 1.), and then entering the OPPOSITE here, which is obviously the opposite of random!
