Fortunately/Unfortunately

Postby Aleril » Sun Aug 23, 2009 8:43 am UTC

The basic premise of this game is simple. We are telling a story and each post tells a different sentence of that story. The thing is that every sentence must begin with Fortunately or Unfortunately, and alternate between them every post

Example:

OP: Jon went outside
First Post: Fortunately, it was a sunny day
Second Post: Unfortunately, it was also a heat wave
Third Post: Fortunately, he was going into his air-conditioned car
Fourth Post: Unfortunately, the leather seats in the car were boiling hot since he left it out in the sun

And so on and so forth.

Let me start this party:

"Jeremy is stranded on an island"

Away with thee, this thread is telling a story in the third person rather than in the second.

Fortunately, he also found power tools in the shelter to fix it.

IT BE TO THE SIRE'S LUCK: There was some semi-new batteries from a truck under some plastic behind the shed.

Unfortunately, the wind carried the batteries away as well.

Fortunately, Jeremy had inherited traits of being able to stand unbelievably horrid smells and having teeth as sharp as razors so he could cut the duct tape with ease.

unfortunately, the duct tape, hammer, nails, and bit of plastic are all 300 yards upstream, having fallen nowhere near Jeremy and Buttercup, who are still at the beach by their gradually collapsing shelter.
