Let's just start the 70.999999... = 71 argument now...

Ok i'll bite, unless the 9's go on forever the number is not 71, but a number that is as close to 71 as you can get.

The ellipses mean they go on forever, so...

I propose Rule 1: players may propose rules.

I propose rule 2: Players may vote on rules. Three votes to get them passed.

I vote yes on both of the existing rules.

I vote yes on both rules, and mine.

Rule 3: Players may choose either Red or Blue team at any time. One they have chosen, they cannot switch.

Rule Proposal 4: All rule proposals must be numbered.

Rule Proposal 5: Rules with greater numbers than those with smaller numbers take precedence when two conflict.

Rule Proposal 6: Players may only vote once on rules.

Rule Proposal 7: Players may only vote on their own rule proposals if (their username starts with A-M and the rule proposal is an odd number) or (their username starts with N-Z and the rule proposal is an even number).

That's to keep people voting on about half the rules, so not as much as a regular vote, while not making everyone wait for the next even one so that they can vote on their own.

Rule Proposal 8: Players must obey rules. If they do not, their posts are ignored.

Rule Proposal 9: Rule Proposals may not contain any explanation of the purpose of the rule within the rule text. It may be given outside the rule proposal.

Rule Proposal 10: Players may choose one, and exactly one, title for themselves, along with an RGB color for the title. Other players may refer to the player by the title, with or without the color, but never with any other color than the chosen one or black.

Rule Proposal 11: Red and Blue teams shall each elect a captain from the rank on each Sunday. The captain will represent the official views of the team.

I vote yes on 4, 6, 8, 10, and 3, thereby passing 3, and I choose Red.

I vote yes on rules 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,and 11

And I vote no on rule 7

And I choose Team BLUE

Rule proposal 12: The players shall elect a leader each week on Monday, each player can vote for any player, only one vote per week, and you cannot vote for yourself.

Rule proposal 13: Each leader will have a list of 10 words or phrases that only the leader knows, if during the week a player guesses any of the words or phrases correctly they are to receive 10 points, there is a limit on guessing more than 10 words or phrases per post and no double posting for this purpose.

Rule proposal 14: If you sucessfully rickroll the leader you will be given 100 points.

Team Red reporting in.

Yes: 4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12 (passes 4,6,8,10)
No:7,13,14

Rule 12 Corollary: Should rules 12 and 11 pass, a single player may not become both a team captain and game leader.

(That would give one team an unfair edge :()

Rule 15 Proposal: The current leader is required to make at least 1 rule summary/score report post while they are in office. They receive one point for each report made, up to two report-based points scored per day.

Also, my title is Led. (00|00|80)

Sign me up for Team Red. My title is Colonel Quate. What can I say, I like the color red. I'm gonna have to vote no on 14, unfortunately. And I have a couple other rule submissions...

Rule 2 Corollary: Rules will time out after 3 days. If five or more "No" votes are cast upon one submission, it will not be passed.

Rule 16: All votes must be in bold and all submissions must be in italics, otherwise they will be ignored.

Rule 17: After 15 votes are passed, the group leader must post the complete list of rules within 1 day, otherwise they will be deducted 2 points.

Rule 18: For every rule passed, a player will win 4 points.

Rule 19: There is no reason for points - they are simply for show. Furthermore, this Nomic shall never end.

Thanks :)

ARRGGGH! Too many rules, not enough organization!! !!! !!!!! !!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Fibonacci scream)

I guess I vote No on Rule 7, 14, 19 too, and Yes on Rule 12, 13, 12A (amendment), 15, 2A, 16, 17, 18. I vote No on 19 because it doesn't really change anything, and would easily be overwritten.

Rule Proposal 18A: This rule will be applied retroactively.

I vote Yes on 18A.

I'm going to try to tally up all the rules right now (not with text, though):

Rule 1: Passed. (kaim1)
Rule 2: Passed. (Quate)
Rule 3: Passed. (BLED)
Rule 4: Passed. (Sqrt)
Rule 5: Passed. (Sqrt)
Rule 6: Passed. (Sqrt)
Rule 7: 0-4. Voting is still open, I suppose. (Sqrt)
Rule 8: Passed. (Sqrt)
Rule 9: 2-0. Voting open. (Sqrt)
Rule 10: Passed. (Sqrt)
Rule 11: Passed. (Sqrt)
Rule 12: Passed. (Me321)
Rule 13: 1-2. Voting open. (Me321)
Rule 14: 1-2. Voting open. (Me321)
Rule 12A: 1-0. Voting open. (BLED)
Rule 15: 1-0. Voting open. (BLED)
Rule 2A: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 16: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 17: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 18: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 19: 0-1. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 18A: 1-0. Voting open. (Sqrt)

My title shall henceforth be The Semi-Argument. (236|243|247)

Rule 15: 1-0. Voting open. (BLED)
Rule 2A: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)

Rule 17: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 18: 1-0. Voting open. (Quate)
Rule 18A: 1-0. Voting open. (Sqrt)

I vote yes on all of the above rules

Rule 12A: 1-0. Voting open. (BLED) this defeats my purpose of having a leader.

Yes to all of the above.

Rule 20 Proposal: If any four members of a single team post in a row (Excluding double/triple posting), all members of that team gain 1 point.

Rule 21 Proposal: All members with chosen titles and/or teams must sign their posts with their team's name and title, both properly colored and bolded. Failure to do so results in the loss of 1 point per erroneous post unless the error is edited within 24 hours of the original post.
