Tasty / Not Tasty

Postby WarDaft » Wed Feb 01, 2012 3:21 am UTC

While nibbling on various things around my dorm room (dangerous in most dorm rooms, admittedly) this game occured to me.

List two flavors that you think go well together, and two flavors that do not. Not in that order. Bonus points if you like all of the favors individually. The next poster guesses which is which. And yes, this is entirely subjective. Flavor repititions are allowed, but try to make at least a bit of attempt to avoid repeating combinations.

To start:

Mint and cheese
Mint and oatmeal

Yes, I like all of these individually.
All Shadow priest spells that deal Fire damage now appear green.
Big freaky cereal boxes of death.

Mint + cheese = meh? Unless cheese is cream cheese, or something else very mild.
Mint + oatmeal = icky-sounding.

I have actually tried both of the following combos (don't ask). One was tasty. The other was ... brain-circuit-breaking bad:

Mediterranean black olive spread + Chinese black bean sauce
Bailey's Irish Creme + Cheez Whiz

I'm going to say Bailey's Irish Creme + Cheez Whiz was tasty (I know I want to try it now) and Mediterranean black olive spread + Chinese black bean sauce was not.

And it was very sharp dry cheddar cheese. Quite nice actually. The oatmeal/mint combo was by accident.

Tough to call, but I'm going to guess the chocolate on pizza. For no other reason than my love for the TMNT.

Fried egg and Peanut Butter sandwich.

Brussel Sprouts and Egg Nog.

All flavors I enjoy.
Not all who wander ar...blah blah blah, basically I want to be cool like Aragorn.

I'm gonna go with...brussels sprouts and egg nog. does not sound pleasant.

chocolate and bacon
powdered sugar and spaghetti
Um, this post feels devoid of content. Good luck?
For comparison, that means that if the cabbage guy from Avatar: The Last Airbender filled up his cart with lettuce instead, it would be about a quarter of a lethal dose.

Microwaved eggs was bad enough but adding capers was like eating them off an elephants ass. Hello Kromix

2am...very tired...very hung over...grabbed a tall glass of vinegar from the pantry and stirred in some chocolate syrup...immediatly was sober but felt worse.
2am...very tired...very hung over...grabbed a bag of chips and dipped them in heavy whipping cream...did not notice till the next day.

Vinegar and chocolate syrup
Potatoe chips and whipping cream
One of these things is not like the others.

Vinegar and chocolate syrup sounds horrifying, while i can easily see the potato chips and whipping cream kind of working

PBJ sandwich and cheese
sausage and egg and cheese bagel sandwich and buffalo chicken wing sauce

I will tell you now that they both made me sick to my stomach but i like the taste of one. Oh and alone, i love all the flavors (though id put the sauce on actual chickenwings first)

Hmm, if I had even slightly different tastes, I could see either of those being really good. I'm going to guess the sausage was bad, because of the sausage. Though I suppose it could depend on the cheese.

Rum and coke and Chocolate Fudge Poptarts
Frosted flakes with milk and Baileys.

One let me feeling like I'd been kicked in the stomach, but was tasty, the other was pretty meh, but didn't make me fill ill at all.
