The State of the Nomic post will record any changes in points. You have the points available to you now, even though they aren't recorded anywhere. If you want to make it a little easier you can say something like: I (that is, Fishy) gain 5 points.

Odin has won a duel against Fiery. Odin gains 4 points, Fiery loses 1 points.

I'm not entirely sure those numbers are right. Fiery loses one point less for being a Samurai, and Odin gets and extra point for being a Samurai. As far as I can tell, honor and the duelist title don't affect point gains from duels, right?

Oh I was referencing an old post but I think that motion was (in a sense) never actually proposed because he didn't have the leadership perk at the time. I still would have been wrong, as it would have been 2,1,0.

By the way. I tried to do a State of the Nomic post. Geez. That takes a lot of work. I started it and got like 3 posts down and was already confused. I didn't wanna screw up the points or anything so I kinda gave up. Thanks for all the work that you put into those things. I'll try to do one soon and help ease the burden off you.

Honor doesn't affect this, and the duelist title only if it's a duel for the title of duelist.

I make a motion to allow people to edit their posts for 15 minutes after they've posted it, so as to give them time to correct any errors done due to ninja'd posts. For the purposes of voting, this motion shall be referred to as Fiery's motion to reduce damage done by ninja'd posts.

I make a motion that when a player reaches 200 points or more, they are to be stripped of all points, titles, perks, investments and their honor. All their active motions, unaccepted wagers and trades shall be declared void and removed from the SotN. All accepted wagers and active duels shall be considered lost. The only thing they retrain is their win-count, which is to be increased by one. (Everybody starts with a win-count of zero; win-counts greater than zero are to be displayed in the SotN) Their votes on motions still count. Any title that is special (meaning that only one person can have it) may be claimed by anyone if there is no rule describing how to decide who gets the title. After all of this, the player may re-enter the game, gaining everything a new player would. They need to pick a new nickname to do so. For the purposes of voting, this motion shall be referred to as Fiery's motion to postpone the end of this game. Anyway, the idea is that a win-count higher than 1 will eventually let you get some bonuses. So it's like New Game +.

I move that in order for a name to be ruled inappropriate pursuant to Rule §04.01, it must also be determined to be inappropriate by the Arbiter. If the Arbiter is one of the three votes against a name, a fourth vote is needed against it for a new name to be choosen. Furthermore, no player who does not have Honor, as well as the title of Poobah, may cast votes against nicknames. For the purpose of voting this shall be refered to as Ky's motion to save Orangy from a fate worse than death.

No. I mean if you have three votes against, the arbiter must give the okay to force a namechange. IF the arbiter is one of the three who voted, a fouth vote is needed.

Example: Ky, Odin and QQQVAR decide Orangy is inappropriate. The Arbiter must give us the okay to make you change it.

Now suppose I were the Arbiter

Example: Ky (the Arbiter), Odin and QQQVAR decide Orangy is inappropriate. We would need an additional vote, say from Carey, or Queeny.

The idea is that the Arbiter shouldn't get two votes on the issue. Everyone can vote (if they choose to) and the Arbiter must vote (in a sense). You can think of it like you really need 4 votes, 3 random people and the Arbiter, because his vote would be needed to reject ANY name.

Rules. It's easy enough. If you accept the duel, you must name a judge (I accept Orangy's challenge and request [nickname] to be judge). Then the judge must start the duel by posting that the duel has begun. Then it works like the Thread Necromancy games. You get points for however long it's been between the last post and your post. You post must NOT be what the judge determines to be "pointless". If you take an official action (offer a trade, vote on a motion, gain or lose honor, place a wager, play chess, etc) then it's automaticlly not pointless. Otherwise it must contribute in a meaningful way. So, the judge starts the game and you get points based on how many minutes it's been since the last post in this thread. You get the number of minutes squared. So if it's been 30 minutes, you get 900 points. Be sure to note in your post how many points you accumulated. The first one to 50,000 points wins.
