Wow, I'm kinda surprised that so many of us are up in the panhandle, I'm in Niceville. It's right next to Destin which kind of a miniature Panama City between PC and Pensacola. Tourists drive very, very badly here too.

Did anyone ever see Agnostia or the later incarnation Dearestazazel? They're from Niceville/Ft. Walton and they fucking rawk. They don't tour anymore though. I'm trying to think of other awesome bands from Florida but I got nothing atm.

I'm really not sure where in Tampa because I have no idea who all is interested, what the ages of everyone would be, an what we'd all be able to do.

Unless we do mini-meetups. (ie something during the day that everyone can do regardless of age, but then do other things later in the evening, etc.)

I think it's still possible. I was originally thinking of some kind of summer 2010 meetup. It would give people in other states time to arrange a vacation here if they wanted. But I'm not really sure how to really bring attention to it other than by spamming the shit out of people.... which I do not want to do.

Lets see, there is Parrot Jungle Island, which sucks compared to the old Parrot Jungle, but is still okay for a one time visit. There is Monkey Jungle, though that is more like Homestead than Miami. There is the Metrozoo, which is actually worth getting a membership to, especially if you like big cats (try walking around the tiger exhibit and freaking people out by making them think you are standing inside the enclosure). There are quite a lot of parks, which are rather nice during the day, and some which are even nice at night if you don't mind a possible tresspassing charge.
Miami just has a bad rep, thats all...

Its infinitely better than Melboring Fl...

I love the Keys. I've just never had a good time in the dozen or so times I've been to Miami and it would take a really spectacular reason to get me to go back.
