If anyone does indeed want to come and is having any problems with travel or accom I have a few links for both so feel free to PM me.

Latest news is that a whole batch of "Moo & Keo" badges are now on the way to me. I'll have 5 different designs for sale.

So... uh...

On the 16th of April, I have a job interview in London. It's pretty important.

But this also means I get to meet some of you peeps!

So, what I am saying here, is that I will try and see if I can get down there a day to two before, and stay a day or two after (having someone to stay with would be nice too... the job interview is in the West End) and we can go drink and stuff.

Also: EXCITED.

I saw pretty dancers wearing glowy things. Not for long because I was embarrassed but still.

That reminds me of a good quote from that day:

"HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET DOWN FROM THERE SO FAST?"
"They have doors in the walls"
"Ooooh, that's boring, I'm going to choose to believe it was magic"
"Doors ARE a type of magic! They're just super effective on walls"

Also, April 16th sounds like a damn good day for some meeting up.

Problem is, that's the day of my interview. And if it goes badly, I will be a grumpy boots. And because...
Artemisia wrote:I am going up north on the 16th, I would like that meetup to be a bit before that.
...I think that it should be at least a day or two before. If there is going to be heavy drinking involved, I suggest two days before, so I don't have to go to an interview hung over.

Of course, if the interview goes well, then I'm all for getting smashed on a Friday night!

Somehow it didn't seem that warm in there to me...

Okay, since I am getting money from the government to come to Lahndahn for my interview, I should be heading down on the 15th. I will endeavour to set off as early as I can, if I have a place to dump my stuff and crash for the night.

Or I might persuade my dad to loan me money for a hotel if I can't find anyone to take me in.

If we could have a fun day/eve/night then, I am all for it, so long as I am tucked up in bed early enough that getting up at 7am for a shower and breakfast isn't a horrific idea. Eh, fuck it, I don't mind not getting a lot of sleep. It's the shower and food thing I care about.

I will see if I can steal a day on the other side of the interview (or the 16th itself) if anyone would prefer to have a meetup then.

Thoughts?

Sorry, but his frustrated me a little.

If that belongs in 'that' thread then that implies all of the UK meetups should go in one thread, that's not fair, at all.

Why did you chose to raise that point? It's from 2008 and since then the separate UK Meet-up threads have earned their right to exist by showing that there is sufficient interest in keeping them separate. Merging everything would at this point produce a thread populated by several distinct discussions taking place at the same time. It would be horrible.

Edit: As I'm bored I've made a list of all the locations and their threads:

So, um, guys.

My interview is on the 20th, and I am going to Lahndahn on the 19th. And I need somewhere to stay and, hopefully shower. And a native to guide me where I need to go. Because I honestly don't fancy my chances of negotiating the tube to my interview.

So, anyone up for a mini-meet with the one, the only, the sexy sleepygamer? There would, of course, possibly be drinking involved on the night of the 19th, and I would like to get up early and shower and breakfast before my interview, of course.

The only other option for me is staying with one of my sister's old friends who I know nothing about, or getting a hotel. Neither are pleasing prospects.

I will also buy whoever takes me in at least one alcoholic beverage!

I can indeed hang on the monday, as you say. I will likely bring my best friend, who you know? maybe. Anyway, he knows who you are and wants to meet you, and he is awesome and metal so.

Tuesday, I will see what I can do.
