I can't do Wednesday after about 7, but should otherwise be more-or-less free.
This is a placeholder until I think of something more creative to put here.

How about Thurs evening then? London has lots of good vegetarian restaurants I hear, and I've been meaning to try one some time.

Re: [UK] London - Home of Literature, Time, & the Black Deat
That sounds great, but there's a chance my trip will be delayed by a week or so... I'll know on Sunday, hopefully, or Monday at the latest. I mean, I guess you can meet up anyway
BTW, do you know of a store in London where I might be able to buy fancy shoes, not from leather (fake leather is fine), and in big sizes? I'm about size 13 UK (47-48 European). I mean something I might want to wear with a suit.

Clarks does good shoes (and I'm pretty sure they have a lot of non-leather stuff, but to be honest I don't really pay attention). Not sure how large they go with men's sizes, but they are quite a common chain and the people there would know where else to direct you.

Well, trip's been postponed, don't know exactly when (or actually if) it will happen. I'll let you know if I have any updates.

Aaaaand it's back. I'll be there from this coming Sunday until Thursday. I'm not actually sure how much free time I'll have, work is pressuring me to do stuff in my free time as well, but I'd love to meet some people at some point. I'm not sure on the flights yet, I'm in the booking process.

I can see you this evening about 7pm. We can go to the Wagamamas on Fleet Street before retiring to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese afterwards for a gin and tonic.

No problem. Sadly, I can't make it in the 26th because I have to go to Cambridge for a pool match

Hopefully I'll see people there. I'm wearing a navy blue short-sleeved shirt with a tiny yachts pattern on. I'll be near Streets of Rage II for most of the night.

Oh, dammit! I actually was in London, for once, on the 7th, but I didn't see this until now

Heckins yes. If the console has "bit" embossed anywhere on it, then I'm a fan. Although I'm an Amiga fan at heart. I have the highest Pac-Mania score in the Western Hemisphere.
Here's the photos of the evening. Here's a rather blurry one of me.

Ah cool. I've been to quite a few events run by these guys - https://www.facebook.com/retroactiveuk - they have lots of the older consoles/games plus beer (which is more why I go).
The details for the next event (June 14th) are here: https://www.facebook.com/events/747068465313873
No idea if Leicester is your neck of the woods, but if you fancy it, pop along and I'll buy you a drink!

Sadly Leicester (Moat Cailin) is kind of somewhere between King's Landing (London) and Winterfell (Middleham Castle, Yorkshire). I don't want to leave Fleabottom (Peckham), 'cause there are Lannisters (UKIP supporters) and Wildlings (SNP supporters) roaming the streets.

Anybody else here attending WorldCon? I will be in London from the 10th to the 19th.

Re: [UK] London - Lates at the Science Museum again

Anyone fancy it? I'm not a definite, by any means, but will be considering it.

I fancy that, but depends what my GF's brother is doing while he's in the UK during that time.

Re: [UK] London - Beer & Beat-'em-ups at the Hoxton Pony
My gf was jealous of me coming to the last one so, as it's the school holidays, I'll see be seeing if she's interested in coming to this one. If not, I'd still consider it.
Re: [UK] London - http://fourquartersbar.co.uk
I'm on call that week
I hadn't realised.
