I've a couple of assignments due that day and as such will probably have been up for the preceeding 72 hours.

It's also just on the start of SWOTVAC.

That's a shame!

For some reason, you all still have that Met You On The Internet glow. This is my excuse for sounding a little too excited when a meetup is being organised.
I am actually totally laid back and stuff.

Makes sense that people from the Internet would glow, what with the high levels of radiation here ... ?

JayDee, Here's that long awaited photo my friend Katya snapped of you contemplating a good book.

Haha! Thanks. I will make good use of it.

(Also, now that I saved that huge version you should probably replace it with something that isn't screenbreaking big. Or use spoiler tags.)

I love the combination of your facial expression, the book title, the 'Fine Books' bookmark and the brown paper bag.
Excellent.

And, Metacelsus, there is no list, but if there was you'd be on it! :D

So the plan is just show up sometime after midday/1ish? Trust in our ability to recognise fellow xkcders (I may have a kite, if that helps)?

Ideally, the plan is that enough people would be willing to exchange contact details so that we can all find each other. However, being as the meet-up is 3 days away and I've had less expression of interest than the last meet up, I'm pretty much going to say: forget it, and we'll try again in the new year.

Oh me yarm, swotvac. I haven't heard it called that since I left QLD nearly 6 years ago. Memories!

If there is a meetup in December sometime I'll be back in town. I can tell you tales of the Boston meet-ups. :P

I am pondering going to the Anti-Net Censorship Protest thingo on Saturday, December 13. If it's anything like the previous one, it'll probably be a bit of a non-event, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up at Brisbane Square, see what the haps are, and head off for a spot of lunch.

Okay, well I should be up from approximately the 10th to approximately the 26th, so that should fit in well with the breaks given so far. I don't know what my gentleman's plans are but I'm pretty sure there'll be a fair amount of flexibility within that timeframe, most afternoons should be managable.

So a meetup before we're all stuck in the future with our flying cars?

Yes? I think so.

When works for you peoples?

Feb some time? Perhaps March?

So many questions? I think I'm just arbitrarily? inserting question marks now?

I'm already back at uni so I'm probably limited to weekends or evenings until that week in april. That Game On thing is at the gallery of modern art for while I seem to remember it having some evening functions, is there some sort of an event there that might be worth attending?
