I'm beginning to think that the picnic thing is a Bad IdeaTM. Between the heat, the absence of organisation, and lack of knowledge about the venue. But mostly the heat. I think, for this particular occasion, we'll be far better suited to somewhere indoors and where we don't have to supply our own food.

Anything that gets me out of preparing food must be a good thing.

I second this trademarked Idea.

I propose that we meet at that lame/funky burger joint on George Street near the pancake manor around the order of 1pm, have ourselves some eats, and go from there.

I really wanted to go this weekend, but the parents aren't happy about it, due to the fact that I've never driven to Brisbane before, and by myself makes it a LOT worse.

*sigh*

Ideas on how to get me there?

What's the name of the burger joint?

-> Schumi, take a zeppelin.

Or failing that, there's a bus I've taken a couple of times, it used to be about twenty bucks.

Burgers of the World or something. It's not great, but it's got a silly theme.

I don't have RSVPs from, I think, 6 or so people, so numbers could swell on the day.

My scanner is packed away in a box and I don't really feel like getting it out and putting it away again for some pics. That, and I forgot my camera on Sunday.

Also! Plans for a meetup in late october perhaps? I have this bad unshakable feeling that even if I say "BBQ, Oct 25", it will still end up with me on the Tuesday before going: well, now it's just too late ya bunch o' slackers; and having to come up with a last-minute alternate plan.

I wanna say "New Farm Park: Oct 25" because New Farm Park is right next to a Coles, so you can buy fuds on your way there. There are buses and ferries, you should all be able to get out there all right.

I would prefer if people fed themselves, but if you want to bring something to share, please do. Just don't be turning up expecting that someone else brought the snags :P

I don't think I can get there before midday, I have an open house to attend in the morning.
