Re: Seattle area!
A facerity. I could wear my xkcd shirt, but eh... I'll wear my gray Hard Rock Cafe shirt. Unless I forget.
I go by Baker (my last name) in person, but you can call me Jonathan if you want. (Or Magnanimous, if you like syllables.)

Re: Seattle area!
I will have a flannel jacket on and jean shorts, as well as a black hat with a lemon on the front. I do go by Axle ... though its not my actual name
.

Re: Seattle area!

I didn't feel like going alone, and I know none of my friends like that/could afford it.
Also, yeah, I am sitting at a 90% chance of showing up as well. I am driving, so . . if someone happens to need a ride, let me know asap.

We found a place, but I still find some humor in it

Re: Seattle area!
Everyone was there!
... though really, was just Mag, Mumpy and I. We did ask each other if we heard from you, but basically it was "I PMed suffer-cait my number".
The only places that were open was coffee shops, so we ended up at Zeitgeist Coffee, and only for like 40 minutes, so you didn't miss too much.

Re: Seattle area!
I couldn't make it to this, but I was considering suggesting that you guys catch a late dim-sum/tea thing in the International District, a couple of blocks to the east. Can't see those places closing because of a bit of rain.
Re: Seattle area!
My train ended up being delayed longer than the meetup. It was a pretty flying visit. Still cool to meet you guys, I'ma try and make it back across the pond as soon as (He says, still in Montreal).
(Also, only one day off trains. This place is big.)

Everyone's done with classes, right...?
I'm heading back to Maryland near the end of June, but that probably won't be a huge problem.

Re: Seattle area!
Supposed to be a Bernanke protest today. I'm thinking about going downtown and participating.

Re: Seattle area!
I already went to this today, but if any other coffee-loving XKCD folks are looking for something to do tomorrow, this event is quite good:

I was planning on sleeping tomorrow (still recovering from finals), but I guess the coffee could wake me up. Anyone else?

I'm back in the Olympia area for the foreseeable future. If anybody would like to do another meetup, let me know!
Also contactable via AIM and MSN and all of those good things, if I vanish from the boards like I too-frequently happen to.

So... who wants to go see Neil Gaiman? He and Amanda Palmer are doing a thing of questionable intent on November 9th downtown, and I'm trying to find someone to go with.

Re: Seattle area!
anyone want to come trick-or-treating with me? I'm thinking upper capitol hill area. they are generous with candy, have good decorations, and last year there were no comments on the age of my friends and i. i find that as long as your costume looks thought through, you're fine. i'm 21, don't make me be an adult, cause i can't go without company.
