The Fringe Festival. It's on for all of August, and I will be there from the 14th - 22st being a tech minion (pressing buttons, what fun!) for a show. The shows only on at 9.30pm each night, and I'd be spending a couple of hours a day advertising, but generally, I'm around a lot, doing nothing.
So I was wondering if people would be around, or in shows, or generally fancy going seeing stuff and things?
Depending on when people are up, and if people want ideas for stuff to go to, I know various shows going on at different times that we could look at.
From the 9th - 15th there's:
Indiana Jones and the Pantomime Horse and Sherlock Holmes and the Sound of the Baskervilles in which I know some of the actors, have heard some of the music, and am biased towards.
Then from the 15th - 30th there's Lashings of Ginger Beer - queer feminist cabaret. This is the show I'm being tech minion at for a week, so it would be nice to see people there, though I'd be busy.
Finally, there's a project that my friend is creative director for, with lots of different shows called Bookstacks which has things on all throughout the Fringe.
So yes, they would be my suggestions for shows, but I'd love to see if anyone else is around, what they know is going on, and maybe meeting up for food times, or fun times, or other things? I figured it'd be easier to see what people had planned than pick a date and event
