Well, for one, I apparently will not take you out in a rowboat and shoot you if you vote for me, so that's good.

Also, I have never been to Boston, but I love baked beans, beer and seafood very much, so I think that would be an awesome experience to have.

Third, I am super-duper awesome and funny!

Fourth, MOD POWERZ. I will keep the rowdies under control and the bot-d00ds DELETEHD, online or off.

It doesn't say anywhere that I've been chosen. I'm just winning, which makes me happy.

Didn't you see my adorably illustrated reasons here?

I had said 2 weeks, so we still have until Thursday of this week. Looks like a late surge from the mid-West contingent has made things interesting.

I have seniority (and probably postcount, but I honestly pay very little attention to that) over all the other contestants. I have been a fora member for a very long time now (feels like a lifetime  ), and am a well established and respected member of the community. In fact, I was responsible for http://fora.xkcd.com (see title).

Now that is a relevant accomplishment, if I do say so myself!

Is Jesster going?
If yes, then Ren wins by default.

I voted MJ, cause that guy is just made of pure win and xkcd.

Except I have made positive contributions.

Wow, I've never been compared to Jack Thompson before. I'm not really sure how to defend myself other than say, I think personal responsibility and liberty are infinitely more important and noble concepts than controlling the lives of individual citizens through legislated morality and censorship, which I think is despicable.

Good enough?

btw i've folded about 130 cranes so far. in 3.5 days. i'm going to try to average 30 cranes a day. More if i can make it. i never explained WHY though...

It is japanese legend that folding 1000 cranes pleases the gods and the person who does so will be granted a wish. Since i have NO way of getting there on my own, my wish is to get to Boston somehow, so i can meet all of you guys. So i'm folding, and folding, and folding. If, somehow i win, the cranes will be presented to Solarchem for granting the wish.

It looks like I'll be taking care of that.

Ren has committed to driving her fellow Molson drinking moose lovers, and Apocralypse is winning anyway, so there you go. Cranes for everyone!

j/k Congrats apocralypse!

I am still not decided if I can go, with school and money issues, but the carpool from Dayton isn't too far away, so it's still possible.

It's funny because Loserville kinda sounds like Louisville.

Which is what I'm sure you were going for, but I thought I'd point it out specifically.

Well, it looks like it, but it doesn't sound like it. (Unless of course, you are the kind of guy that doesn't say "loo-uh-vul", then it might.)

Actually that wasn't intentional. I only wish I were witty enough to think of that :D .

Thank you for that picture. Once again, I was not being sarcastic in the least.

And the bat at the museum/factory (which, unbelievably, is in Louisville) is much cooler. I'm pretty sure it's the largest bat in the world.
