I need a computational chemistry paper.

For the discussion of the sciences. Physics problems, chemistry equations, biology weirdness, it all goes here.

I need a computational chemistry paper.

Postby opsomath » Fri Apr 22, 2011 1:53 pm UTC

Hi Scientists. One of my co-workers needs a copy of the following paper:

"On the Use of the Cluster Expansion and the Technique of Diagrams in Calculations of Correlation Effects in Atoms and Molecules" by J. Čížek

It's from the Wiley series Advances in Chemical Physics: Correlation Effects in Atoms and Molecules, Volume 14.

Anyone who can get me a PDF of this will be benefitting science in a tiny, incremental, but measurable amount. :)

Do you happen to know any nearby universities? At some universities, if they have public Wi-Fi or computers,
you can log in and usually try googling for whatever paper you need.

At my university, usually I can google the name of some paper and I'll get access to the paper because their network
grants me privileges to download the paper from whatever website it's on.

Yes. We tried at the universities at which we both work, but we do not have it. We were hoping someone on here would have access to a better library.

That's a really hard one to find. Wiley has the .pdf of that chapter online, but my uni doesn't have access either. There are a few dusty copies in the book depositories at a few colleges around here, which may be the best you can hope for. I don't know what your timeframe is, but you might just have to pony up the cash to buy access from Wiley.

My library's pretty good, and I don't have access. You may need to just cough up the cash, as Velifer says.

Why don't you just email the corresponding author? They're allowed to send you reprints/pdfs, and will normally do so gladly, especially if you tell them why you like their paper so much.
