The Double Slit Experiment

Postby invisifly2 » Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:32 pm UTC

A couple of people tested this experiment in the PC game known as Minecraft. It's actually pretty cool stuff.

Hahaha, their experiments are pretty amusing.

But where's the part of the experiment where they watch the chicken hitting the gate?
How can I think my way out of the problem when the problem is the way I think?

So they fired chickens, that is, particles, and they got an interfearance pattern?
Who would expect chickens to behave like waves?

Well, they didn't really get an interference pattern. The point isn't that the experiment worked, the point is that it was funny, I think.
Some people tell me I laugh too much. To them I say, "ha ha ha!"

Every physicist.

Indeed. Did you watch any of their other videos?
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

I was, of course, being silly. Everyone knows chickens act like waves.

Now a real scientist would have done another test in which they observed the chickens being fired and compared the results. They really should be submitted their work for review instead of making claims. Also, one of those feather marks has been fudged, it's off the interference point.
