I'm Sean and I'm from the Greater Toronto Area. I've been reading xkcd since radiohead was rumoured to be releasing an EP named Wall of Ice after the DRM-related comic. I've just registered because I'm planning to attempt a recreation of http://xkcd.com/260/, and the forums are of great help. For me, forums have never stuck, perhaps it'll be different this time.
I'm pretty big into music, and I'm not saying that like most people do, but relative to them. I'm in my final year of undergrad at the University of Guelph for marine and freshwater biology. I have no fucking clue what I'm going to do nine months from now.

Well hello. My name is Anthony, and I am definitely not a spambot. In fact, I get tested regularly, and I've passed almost every CAPTCHA I've taken.

Not sure what else is relevant enough to post here... I'm a high school student, very interested in science and engineering. My interests include taking things apart, the small amount of Python I've been able to teach myself, and long walks on the beach (and I do mean long).

Anyway, I've been reading xkcd for over a year now, and it's easily my favorite webcomic. From browsing around the fora, I've seen that the userbase here is very intellectual and fun and interesting, not to mention extremely well educated. Frankly, there's a lot I can learn from many of the members here. So here's to hoping I can fit in and become a productive poster here. Cheers!

Good evening folks. Back in 2006 i used to post on these here forums as "Rufus" but that email account is dead. But as a loyal reader of the comic and friend to some serious forum mafia players I'm back. So, I'll apologize in advance.

As per "Forum Guide for newbies", I'm posting here; I should have posted here first. Whoops! :/

I don't read xkcd that much but it's {1} about the only webcomic that I know of, {2} the only one of note/that I remember, {3} ....

I'm probably not a big nerd/geek, in comparison.

Um, I'm from Nowhere, USA, and a small city called Sydney, Australia.

I haven't the foggiest about what I should type here but I can attest that I am not a spambot (and that this post is horrible!). :D

Aww my very first post. Apparently I wasn't a fan of capitalization back then.

So, for all the new kids, I'm now 22 (almost 23)/m/Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I've graduated college and am back home in the Philadelphia suburbs working a Real Job and trying to get my ducks in a row (I order them by the pitch of their quack) so that I can get a job doing what I actually want to do. I still play the sax.

Hello xkcdland! I'm new and I promise I'm not a bot.
I live in Canberra, Australia where I work for the government and ride mountain bikes.
This morning I had a burning desire to write an introduction for myself, but now I can't for the life of me think what it was I wanted to say.

Hi all. I'm new here, and I'm probably not a spam bot. However, given my success rate with CAPTCHAs, I can't be too sure.

I can bake blueberry muffins. That is all.

Considering the success rate on some of the more nasty captchas, most of us would be spam bots.

You need to take the real ones:

No, it just means that I fail at making statistics jokes. (Or that I'm leaving a small degree of uncertainty in case the Matrix really was a documentary...)

Though, interestingly, a bot would likely never claim that it is a bot (with the exception of search engine bots; suppose this is limited to spambots, which generally come in an Al can and leave a bad taste in the fora's mouth), so perhaps saying that one is a bot is a way to prove one is not a bot, unless that's what they'd expect us to do...

Hi James. Are you sure there is mathematics underlying string theory?

I thought that dromaeosaurids were raptors, but my paleontological knowledge is lacking.

Hello xkcd fora. I am the new guy, you can call me sowieso. Studying physics and math, and foreign languages interest me (English speaker, know conversational German and have tried many failed times to teach myself Russian). I'm a dog person, I don't like long walks on the beach. But I love cold weather, science fiction, and books. I'm your average geek just hanging loose. Peace out.

It means something like "Hell yeah" / "for sure" in dutch.

You'd be suprised how often you can use it.

Hi, the names Jamie, English, 19 years old male, currently residing in Southern England (That's all you're getting out of me on that topic, you stalkers. XD) and I'm looking for a job.

My interests are spending time with my girl-friend, Scrubs, TV as a whole, music, reviewing games and pretty much anything else including other users on another site and gaming. Favourite band at the moment is Paramore, favourite show is Scrubs, favourite film is Hot Fuzz closely followed by the Expendables, favourite colour is pink (Weird yes, but go with it, I might reveal all later) and I just enjoy killing time on the internet, really.

So...yeah.
Anything I missed?
