Ok, I seriously need to catch up. I've been away for two days, and something's happened to the Intro Thread? Well my intro was on there, so here we go again:

Hey all, I'm schumi_girl, 17 from the great land Down Under. I love computer games and am planning on studying Games Design at Uni next year. I also love Formula One cars and shoes :P I joined this forum only a little while ago, and, apart from that embarrassing two day lapse, I've been on it everyday since.

I'm CreemyNougat. I've proven my status as a fleshling, but would like to point out to anyone reading these intro posts that I prefer to be called "Nougat" rather than "Creemy." Thank you for obliging or fuck you for not.

Edit: As for why I changed my sn, it's pretty simple. I felt like I was interacting with a lot of you on a personal level (instead of internet strangers), so I wanted you all to call me by my name, instead of some internet handle. So I asked Belial (I think I caught him in a good mood! :)) and he kindly changed it for me.

You totally used the avatar of someone who used to be here.

Hi everyone!

After lurking here for some time I decided to become active in here, and my fear for scaled critters made me post here :)

I'm a 19 years old Dutch Comp. Sci. student, and I was grabbed by the pure win and awesome of which the xkcd comic consists.

I used to be an avid rower, but back-problems leave me sportless at the moment, although I love skiing, mountain biking and diving.
At home I do a fair bit of DIY, mostly in the electronics department (so if I suddenly disappear from the fora, I might have forgotten to unplug something :) )

My avatar is the perfect description of me, give me an internet connection, and I can entertain myself for hours.. (just one of the numerous occasions that I've felt that xkcd was about me)

That's all for now, I hope it's enough to get out of the scaled sentence that was lined up for me?

Insanity? You want insanity from a mentally, sexually, and intellectually repressed girl that produces more hormones and endorphins than her body should logically be able to?

You want that?!

DO YOU?!

It's not insanity if we're just geekily quoting Dr Tran.

It's actually sad.

But amusing, sometimes.

Hey everyone. I'm a seventeen year old aussie who is currently working like a demon to get into medicine next year. I've been looking at the boards for a while and I'm amazed at the evident respect that seems to bind all of you together; despite all the weighty topics (I've only been reading serious business, so maybe your at each others throats elsewhere) you manage to keep it civil. Which is one hell of an accomplishment on the internets.

I'm interested in parkour, gym, hiking, listening/composing music, gymnastics (can't do anything though), philosophy; don't know anything about computer code, I find mathematics interesting for brief periods of time before I get bored. I also don't watch tv (excepting west wing dvds), rarely movies and trying to wean off computer games.

Anyway thats my autobiography. Looking forward to wasting time here with all of you.

Hello

Postby mammothman » Sat Aug 25, 2007 3:53 am UTC

Hello people,
No spambots here, no sir.

Anyway, my name is Adam and I live in central Texas. I'm 14 and I read webcomics compulsively. I wish I had the talent to make one, but I lack the talent of drawing, or being funny. I like to program things, and I'm attempting to learn C at the moment, but I'm having trouble getting a compiler to work, and DevC++ won't compile C. I can program a bit in PHP, but I want to write in a real desktop-environment type language.

I don't write in forums often, so don't judge my post format too harshly. I usually lurk alot, so hopefully that helps a bit. I like video games, mostly RPGs and FPSes because I suck at anything that requires strategy. I suck at photoshop, too, just look at my sig. I stole that mantra from Proximo in Gladiator, and don't go to those websites.

All of them make sense, anyway. Sort of.

red period. is obvious.
green colon: should see a proctologist.
yellow semicolon; he's like a colon, but different!
blue comma, beclause commas are always blue.
purple emphasis! was created by someone else.

I think it's funny that, if you're even reasonably active in the Melb Uni social scene, you might well have met my brother. :P (He's first year architecture)

So, we're doing the re-intro thing, huh? Let's see...Nathan, 23, final year mech/aero engineering student living in the location on the left of your screen, waiting impatiently to graduate so I can earn real money, and thoroughly addicted to these forums (and have been for quite some time now).

And OH MY GOD that website is great.

I totally posted here first without posting anywhere else. I didn't find it difficult to find this Intro thread at all!

I'm Lem, 23 years of age, recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art specialising in making sculptures that interact with each other with radio waves and blinky lights.

Now I draw things. Comics and things. I've been linked to some sort of marshmallow bunny thing, but I deny that those accusations are in fact false and fraudulent.

I live in England. It's pretty ok.

So I guess I'll re-intro.

I posted elsewhere before, and it said only one post. Perplexed, I came here.

I'm just a newb at Python, and considering learning Java next, I also enjoy non-computer languages and grilled cheese sandwiches. I usually lurk on the Coding forum, and probably won't post much.

I apologized, so now i posted the image, introduced myself and... that's it.

This is also the last you'll ever hear of me. So enjoy the awesome image created by somebody other than me. :)
