It is called the random thread. If that's what FaiD is for, then there is no need of this thread. I thought FaiD was made because mods had tired of people moaning about them in the forum issues subforum. I may be wrong, of course.

I once craved custard doughnuts for a good fortnight without finding any. Suddenly though, they're everywhere.

Ohohoh! Only the ones in the Grim North are proper! The ones they sell down south just have vanilla-flavoured goo in them. They are the most delicious cakestuff ever invented and the goo versions are a travesty. :x

FT: When I first saw sleepygamer's avatar, way back when, of himself I thought he was this kid at school whom we call Retard Jordan (so that we can tell the differences between the two Jordans: Female Jordan and Retard Jordan. I used to feel bad for calling him that and openly expressed it. He didn't care and called me "Stupid Christian"). I was agast and I didn't think that Jordan would express any desire to be on the fora nor actually understand the comics (or care for that matter).
It didn't take me long to figure out that sleepygamer couldn't be Jordan, even if they both love metal and have long brown hair like that.

In the past 3 weeks, I've seen the following movies: Slumdog Millionaire; Pursuit of Happiness; Independence Day; Jurassic Park; The Illusionist; Little Miss Sunshine; Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; Titanic; Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves; Hook; North by Northwest; You, Me and Dupree; Wyatt Earp; Blazing Saddles; The Wind and the Willows; Spy Game; Crank; and quite possibly others that I have forgotten. I've never watched a lot of movies, so i suppose this is me catching up. I had never seen any of these before.

However, what are crumpets? Sounds like something you'd have with tea.

Fun fact: most toasters are 1-2mm too narrow to fit a crumpet in comfortably. This can lead to an unhealthy resentment towards your toaster.

Or, in some extreme cases, forcing the crumpet in, thus putting undue strain on the toaster lever when you try to press it, and flipping the toaster upside down. This happened to me on thursday. It was both absurd and awesome, and by far the highlight of my day.

I would but I'm the slowest crepe maker on earth. Takes me a good hour or so before the first batch is done (mainly because I cook before I wake up, but still). And now I want some but I have to leave in half and hour.

RT: I always wondered what it would be like if you could twerk or remove a single element in a complex thing. For example, seeing what would happen if water had no surface tension anywhere. I'm guessing most of the plants would die and such. Plenty of other things would be interesting to see though.

FTs:It's always annoying talking to Americans about crumpets. Crumpets, as in tea and crumpets, are the way they're meant to be. Also delicious lightly toasted with butter/margarine and/or jam on them. Luckily our toaster fits crumpets, but little tricky getting them out.

One way to combat parents who unnecessarily complain about body mods is to use the "I didn't know you were so shallow to only care about looks" argument. Obviously not those exact words, but something to the same effect.

Less procrastination is in order for the next 2 weeks; which will likely turn out to be 1% less.

So... now, for those who are likely unaware, there's an annual horse race in Kentucky that's apparently some kind of big deal. A couple of weeks before it.. tonight, to be exact.. they have a big fireworks show for.. uh... an excuse to have a fireworks show, as near as I can tell.

And of course they've got the newscasters running around interviewing people, one of the guys goes to interview this kid, probably 14-15..something like that, and asked him

"So, what are you wanting to see?" - obviously trying to get some "Fireworks" or "explosions" or "the waterfall on the bridge" - this effect where they just fire a crapload of waterfall fireworks off one of the bridges that makes it look like it's melting or something...

Anyway, so they ask this kid "What are you wanting to see?"

And the kid answers "I'm hoping to see Chris Hansen."

Newguy clearly pauses with a giant WTF, and moves right along to ask the 7 year old kid next to him something else to get the response he wants.

....

Goddamn Internet!

'Don't' at the start of a sentence has always confused me. :| For example, "Don't you like oranges?" expanded would be "Do not you like oranges?" Which seems odd to me. I've probably got it wrong, though. Excuse me for being stoopid.

In other news, I've got to be up in 2 hours.
I should probably go to bed. *Yawns, meanders off upstairs*

I'm here!

I haven't slept in.... ooo, not sure. I last woke up at around 2pm two days ago. And the last time I slept a 'night' was Monday. I am considering coffee. :|

Oh yes.

You can even tell me which kind of cupcakes you desire, and i will try to make them for you.

Except they don't ship well, so we'll have to have this party on an easily accessible alternate plane of existence.
