See, now I'm wondering what you mean when you say robe. Because I think of a dress-like thing, but I also know a lot of Americans use robe to mean Dressing Gown.

Registering for SAT Subject Tests. Joy. Plus an ACT at the end of October and a full SAT at the next available opportunity.

Why can't I just say "I'm smart" and colleges can just reply "Woah, Sir Elderberry, thanks for informing us. Please take this truck full of diamonds"?

The best kind of "free"!

Free as in beer.
Free as in speech.
Free as in freedom.
Free as in stolen beer.

"What the fuck?" should not be used by those under 5'1" due to the utter hilarity of angry short people.

Or, maybe it should ONLY be used by those under 5'1".

Either way, children should not be permitted use of "What the fuck?" except in cases of molestation, or socks from Grandma, or Grandma molesting you with socks.

I'm fairly certain this has been asked & answered before, but I'm not feeling motivated enough to track down a specific post.

Basically: there hasn't been a need for one. If enough people start posting enough topics about history and they gain enough interest, then the mods will split them off into their own sub-forum. So, if it's something you're really interested in, don't let the lack of a specific history section sway you from posting. Pick a current section you think it fits well enough in (General, maybe?) and post away!

Thank you Mr. F. It's Damn decent of you to state your opinion followed by proper clarification. As opposed to the popular cut your head off burn your house down tactics of old. Dude, those games only work if the subject is unaware. Looks like someone's out of quarters. Now, in a three party system, politics can become quite confusing. What a combo for the home team. I can't stop laughing thinking about cheering for Rugby. In hindsight, I would have cheered for both. high handed yeti was classic :)

I'm personally of the opinion that short people are awesome. And not just because you can make fun of them and such. For instance, I love when my short female friends (why isn't there a word for girl friends where you mean friends who are girls instead of the relationship status?) try to hug me and I have to bend down so they can. It's really cute. But unfortunately even my "short" friends are usually not short enough for that to happen. Just a couple of 'em. I'm only 5'10'' or so myself so the most I generally get is a 6 inch difference. Except for those few, like you guys would be!

Should I go as Death/Desire/Delirium?

Any and all of those would be fantastic costumes. Desire could be...extremely fun, but Death is probably the most recognisable, especially in the top hat from The High Cost of Living. And wouldn't Delirium involve some major hair redesign?

Also, re short people shouting, I am 5'2'', and if I am shouting at you, you will not be laughing unless it is a delirious laugh of terror. There is no way you will think it is cute. My shouting is effective, and singing lessons have given me great capacity for pitch and volume without needing to pause for breath.

Pause before saying friends. Or always say male friends, so female friends doesn't seem so clunky. Or just don't make the distinction between friends.
"Hey man, she's not my special lady, she's my ladyfriend! (I'm just helping her conceive.)"

Jessica, I would say even though it's trickiest, Delirium has the most costume options, you can mix and match and try all kinds of neat styles.
