Why are Jewish and Israeli stereotypes so different? I know that (obviously) not all Jews are Israelis and not all Israelis are Jewish, but that hardly seems like it should stand in the way of media stereotyping . . .

Not committing to any viewpoint here, but maybe because American Jews are almost all Ashkenazim, whereas Israeli Jews are about half and half between Ashkenazim and Sephardim/Mizrahim? I dunno.

You can always break all the rules in faid, though it gets harder, because you can't really break rules that don't exist.

Well, except for the laws, those you can break (with consequences), because the man is everywhere, even faid.

The guy who made it (DJ Steve Porter) did an interview on Fox News. Unsurprisingly, he made a remix of it.

I knew I could trust someone to make that joke.

Sleeping would be good right about now. I need to get up in 6 and a half hours, and I'm spending the day with friends for Australia Day. And then I have to go to work the day after.
That Japanese chocolate/coffee bean lolly was a bad decision.

Blech, I hate being in one of those "shit, is this what I want to do with my life? Is this the right school? Should I transfer? What the hell am I going to do next year?" moods.

But seriously, am I only staying here because it's easier than moving? This school hasn't exactly made me feel all that welcome.

I can't decide if the anger I feel building up is rational or not. I'm a little worried I only feel angry because it beats the alternative. I'm relatively good at purging emotions, but feeling needlessly empty is usually worse. Bugger and blast.

It's Australia Day today so I get the day off work.

To celebrate, I cleaned my flat, made myself sausages and rice for breakfast, got high, and am now eating breakfast and browsing the fora.

Life is good.

I don't understand the extent people go to for nothing when they could get so much more with a smile and hand shake. I go way out of the way in hopes of communicating with anyone. It's always the same story. I know the situation is being manipulated, but by whom and to what degree is uncertain. I hope the bet is more than one dollar.

Thank you Sir
