Oh, none of them would stay long enough for that.

You could always try the New And Improved Omegle. The xkcdegle. Here's what you do. You randomly pick someone in the thread who is posting who has their aim/y!/msn/etc listed and talk to them. Your chances of getting someone interesting drastically improve.

Well, yeah, but the thing with Omegle is that there, both people agree to the conversation.

That way, it seems a lot more obtrusive and rude...

I've been playing with this thing again as well. This is my favorite system so far (sorry that it's typed messily I just didn't feel like bothering):

Body 1: 500 0 -1 0 -1

Body 2: 50 225 -3 0 140

Body 3: .3 185 -2 0 74

Body 4: 1 -356 -1 0 -133

Make sure if you try it out you run it in the most accurate setting. This one has a large planet with a moon that orbits it for about one year, then the moon actually breaks out of orbit and orbits the sun. After a few orbits, the moon then goes back and orbits the planet again, then breaks off and orbits the sun. It does this about three times, then it orbits the sun for awhile before eventually crashing into the planet.

The other planet just orbits around on its own, taking about 45 "time" units for a full orbit.

I think this virus is running a full diagnostics on my immune system. Every time I think I'm getting better, a new symptom pops up out of the blue. When I first got sick on Thursday, I had a sore throat. When I woke up the following morning, I had a sore throat and a stuffy nose. Once the sore throat went away, the stuffy nose decided to change into a runny nose combined with extreme sinus pressure. The runny nose seems to have subsided now, only to be replaced with a fever and nasal congestion.

So, I randomly decided to do Hourly Comics day today. I'm excited! It's a shame I can't draw and my lettering will probably be illegible.

Also, realized this morning I might not have applied to an internship I meant to at Blizzard because it might not have matched my preferred job settings. But then again, it might not have existed. And I'm sure they're not listed anymore (due date was yesterday), so I can't check. Gah.

(On the flipside, I applied to nine internships there. And I probably won't get any anyway because my portfolio is barebones and made of suck. Oh well.)

What's your major/area of expertise wolf? Concept drawing? characters?

I only ask because i'm a (hopeful) 3d artist myself, and I know a bunch of people who have put in applications for internships or jobs there. I don't think any of them ever heard back, and I assume it's tough as balls to get into there. It's like Pixar, they're the #1 choice for a lot of people who apply for 3d/art related jobs, so the chances of anyone actually getting hired there is very slim.

My major is actually Information and Computer Science, but I've been studying game design on the side. I want to improve my art skills, too, because ideally I'd like to be a world-builder or writer for games, as well as designing gameplay mechanics. In a perfect world, though, I'd find the dedication/classes to improve my art to the point where I could draw the characters I can write. (I can imagine them in my head, and write dialogue and profiles and such for them, but when it comes to putting them down on paper through drawing, my skills are rudimentary at best.)

And yeah, I figure it's insanely competitive, and my portfolio is the probably the sickly little runt of this year's entries. But I figure it's at least good practice to get the ball rolling and figure out what I need to do for next year. (If you want to look at it, in the next few minutes I'm updating my sig to include a link to my blog/portfolio.)
