Fleeting Thought : There's .. I actually don't know what the official measurement is, but I'm going to guess 2-4 inches. Maybe 6, but I doubt it. Anyway, there's snow on the ground, but the roads are clear. Sure, back in the neighborhoods they're a little hairy, but as soon as you get on a road that's even slightly major, there's pavement. Granted, you can't drive at normal speeds, but 10-15 under works fine.

So how many damn businesses are out today that let me get to work *faster* than normal?

There is so little in terms of functionality, as far as I'm aware. I honestly haven't found any benefits to having Vista on my laptop as opposed to XP. And from what little I've used of Windows7, there is little to no new functionality there either (don't get me started on whether or not the 'snap' feature is functionality).

I don't know whether to be proud or annoyed that my school district never ever closes down on non-vacation days. Ever. Our principal apparently doesn't give a fuck about the law regarding when a building is "unsafe or unsuitable" to be used as a school.

Doesn't give a fuck in an awesome way, not an incompetent administrator way.

TIME. It's been nine years since XP. Nine years after 3.1 is when XP was released. Now, I understand that if you have something that works well, there's no real reason to update it, but this is Microsoft we're talking about (LOLZ!) and frankly, while 7 should probably be coming out now, if not a few years ago, Vista should have been in 2004 or 2005, not 2007.
