Tell News Week to shit can their ethics and become a gossip rag. They're gonna be the last one standing at the check out line. Take a look at that if you're interested in learning what America is willing to pay for.

On another note, I'm really enjoying "America The story of Us" on the History channel 9/8 central on Sunday with encore on Wed.

Can I please have an IPad.

For better or for worse, I shall owe my grade on the AP Lit exam to Iron Maiden. Here's hoping.

I studied for my AP World exam with Iron Maiden, and it got me a 3. Apparently, there's more to history than war and death.

The British elections are much better than America's from a stylistic point of view. They line up the candidates from each constituency like they're picking a winner for the science fair. They have little ribbons and an annoying crowd too. Hell, one of the candidates right now looks like a cowboy.
Unfortunately, this election is turning out like my 4th grade science show where the kid that did the exhibition about flowers covered in food coloring won because his mom was a judge and helped him with it.

Can anyone find any clips of Tea Partiers calling themselves teabaggers? I've heard other people call the tea-partiers teabaggers, i've heard teabagging jokes, and I've heard about the 'teabag the whitehouse' campaign, but I think I could forgive the racist slurs and the bigotry if I could just hear one of them say "The Teabaggers are very patriotic people".

Blackle is only energy-saving if you use a CRT monitor. If you use an LCD monitor, then there's either no savings in energy at all or you end up using a tiny bit MORE energy. Also, Blackle is a really dumb name, but that's just my opinion.

It's already tomorrow here so I'm sitting at work full well knowing I'm not going to get ANYTHING done today. But mefinks your situation is worse because you also have the apprehension of knowing that how I'm feeling now is still to come for you.

On a related note: GO TO BED, GIANT SPECK!! And set an alarm. Several alarms if it helps.

Well, I got off a twelve-hour shift about five hours ago. I'm not dead tired, but tired enough.

Thankfully, I have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off, which means that when I do finally go to bed, I'll at least get a full nine or so hours of sleep rather than the normal six or so I get on work nights. And alarms really don't work for me when I have no pressing reason to get up at a specific time; I just end up sleeping through them or shutting them off.

Sure, and so is a collection of chopped vegetables in a bowl... but that doesn't make most salads healthy. You can't eat five kg of tofu and 1g of potassium cyanide* and expect to come out of it just fine because tofu is healthy.

Tofu's still healthy, right?

Chopped vegetables in bowl (a salad, if you will) is healthy. Chopped vegetables in a bowl swimming in ranch dressing with fried chicken slices on top (a salad as many restaurants will serve it) and you might as well have just eaten the burger.

Ah, right, I read you as chopped vegetables were bad, especially as salads as you describe are less common here (if we neglect to mention pasta salads).

On the plus side, I've read* that the small amounts of fat in the dressing help the body to absorb the vitamins in the vegies more efficiently.

Gluten free pasta does, in my experience, taste just about as good as the regular stuff, so that's a bonus. It is harder to find and more expensive, however.

IMO, rice noodles have a different texture. Great with a Pad Thai, but rather interesting with a marinara. Are there different types of Gluten free products?
