Even worse. SETI got, at least until 2004, 4 million per year from the US Congress.

A single F-22 is 150 megadollars, plus 44,000 per flight hour.

Pink eye: been doing the stupid eye drops for four days, yet nothing. Even last night it still looked red and and hurt if I applied any pressure. Today when I woke up? Far less red, doesn't hurt. I didn't even use any eye drops inbetween. Hooray for magic?

Driving home from work today I thought it was Monday, as opposed to the Saturday it actually was. I got pretty stoked because there was some good TV recording and I couldn't wait to watch it. I watched some Dewey Cox until the recordings should have started - when they didn't, I checked the schedule and was disappoint :(

What list of rules is that exactly? Well I guess it applies well for Sriracha sauce, according to theoatmeal.

edit: Oh yeah, I do wonder how can Americans pronounce okonomiyaki wrong, when each letter sounds exactly as it is written (versus something like une deux trois)?

I think one of my fish has died, except it keeps moving to the other side of the tank when I'm not looking. I haven't actually seen her move in over a day.

 I think my other fish are reenacting scenes from Weekend at Bernie's.

"Credit card" seems to be shorthand for any card payment method. My visa debit card is accepted on pretty much anything that says "payment by credit card".

This is definitely true. On plenty of shopping websites, the option is "credit/debit" cause they're virtually identical.

There are different types of debit card though. My visa electron (a basic debit card) is pretty much only good for withdrawing money from cash machines; very few websites will accept it. But the visa debit card can be used in exactly the same way as a credit card, the only difference being the money comes directly out of your bank account.

If payment cards had a facebook status, it would say "it's complicated".

Oh, God. If that confusion is the reason why the only person who has donated is my mother, then I'm screwed! :(

I put up flyers about it at work with little rip-off tabs that have a tinyurl written on them, and eight or nine people have ripped them off, but I have yet to receive any donations from them.

The confusion and inconvenience is part of the problem I'm sure. If you could donate by pay-pal there'd probably be a lot more donations.

Wikipedia is not an appropriate place to pursue relationships or sexual encounters. User pages that move beyond broad expressions of sexual orientation are unacceptable. However, you very well may make new friendships as you go about improving the encyclopedia.

So every first Monday of the month at noon, the air raid sirens are tested. I never heard an air raid siren, coincidentally I was having classes at the time. So what if the Russians/Chinese/Aliens invade while I'm at the university?

I'm pretty sure that was the original purpose of wifi. I only wish I could discover why mine keeps cutting out when doing any kind of heavy streaming.
