If we are to assume for a moment that a different outfit worn by Faye in Questionable Content indicates a new day, then Raven's calculations were wrong in two ways:

(1) The dinosaur reappeared about two days later than calculated (Raven said it would reappear in 96763 seconds, which is slightly over a day)
(2) The dinosaur reappeared without an amazing cup of espresso

I think you're overestimating the amount she was off by. The espressosaur disappeared in comic 1948, where it's more or less midday. It's the same day through 1951. 1952 is then one day later and they talk about the date and party that night. It's the date or the party through... well, until the guest comics start. The next real comic is the most recent one where it's a new day, again at more or less midday. So she's off by almost a day, not two.

Er, you're right. Still, Raven was wrong. And it's sad that the first thing I noticed when I read today's strip was that she was wrong. :(

Nah, he just pushed his state to memory and set up an interrupt handler for the clock interrupt that copied him back on the heap a while after the romans ran free(). Unfortunately, it wasn't long before the kernel claimed that area and he vanished again.

Yeah, I always go with the 'safe tab' option. And I always know how many ctrl+tabs it needs to get to it, if I'm in a situation where I think interruptions are likely.

I always just close my door. And I usually have my computer screen not facing the door, but that's equally so that my back isn't to the door when I'm sitting at it. If I'm on a public computer I just don't look at anything that could be embarrassing or inappropriate.

Nothing is quite as aggravating as other people finding amusement in their own willful idiocy. This is especially true when such could easily avoided with only the smallest bit of consideration on their part (such as managing to get up before goddamn midday), and the consequences of such are you being homeless.

Okay, so I'm reading about Minecraft's new mob, which is supposedly called an "enderman". Which is a reference to Slenderman. Apparently they ignore you until you look at them. Once you do, they become hostile but they cannot move/move very slowly while you are still looking at them. If you look away, they run fast or teleport.

So, that's fucking creepy. Then the Minecraft wiki links to the Slenderman article on Wikipedia, which, lo and behold, HAS BEEN DELETED. THANKS, WORLD, FOR BEING SO NORMAL AND NOT SUSPICIOUS OR CREEPY AT ALL.

I think americans confuse german choclate with swizz choclate. I doubt we germans are ( or should be ) know for our chocolate, as it's not that of a deal here.

German chocolate cake has nothing to do with Germany, and lots to do with this guy called Sam German*.

That may not be advisable. You basically have to train cats from a very early age to put up with that. Otherwise, the cat will bust open a can of pain you never believed imaginable. It will use your skin as a canvas for abstract art, with it's thousands* of claws as brushes, and your blood as paint.

Are you sure? I thought on each paw they have like four main claws and then a weirdly placed thumb that isn't really a claw and doesn't do anything good at all. But maybe that's different between fore and hindlegs or some such.
