Broadcast spawning is successful because it plays the numbers. It works! However, most of the larvae don't make it to maturity. Further down the evolutionary line, marine species found other successful ways to reproduce. I believe this collected knowledge, past down through generations, ingrained instincts that have survived for 100s of millions of years. To think that we haven't evolved past that point would be disheartening. The school is stronger with instinct. We can learn a great deal from their competitive environment. Of course, its different on the other side of the culling table.

On a more humorous note, would someone make a drunk looking fish T-shirt that says "Broadcast Spawner"? Maybe something with walleye glasses and a big open mouth (must have glasses). I'm picturing the fish from an old move where the Nave guy turns into a fish. Picture that with a little drool. Perfect! Florida Marine program has Spring Break coming up, and I want to supplement my income..... I'll bring the Pace Picante sauce.

I didn't know what a drunk-looking T-shirt for a fish looked like, so I drew a drunk fish in paint instead.

Looks tasty! Have you ever tried Indian Fry Bread?

Picked it up at a camp in Ohio. My cohort was Apache, and I taught a Kenyan how to swim (Everett and Joseph). He taught me how to make a spear tip out of a soda can. I'm quite certain we both remember what we learned. Remember it like yesterday. True story! I worked 10 day pack trips...The key is balancing the weight.

Forget face punch over IP. When do I get groin kick over IP? I could use that capability right about now.

I bet it would be really useful if I could put the DDoSing power of a small botnet behind it.

You can send recipes either through PMs or via Tumblr, whichever's easiest. It's probably going to be mostly small bakes/treats, branching out into the occasional simple quiche and similar. Also: four ingredient cookies.

Some people use one-off addresses or store addresses that don't actually exist. I don't usually support that sort of thing because it's a nightmare for mailmen, but in the case of taking down Limbaugh? I'll make an exception. 8)

Does anyone have any good techniques for getting down to coding, instead of arsing around until you die having achieved nothing? I am terrible at getting things done and today I realised how many of the projects I start come to nothing. I have tried Firefox addons to block certain sites during the day, but I don't think that's the real problem. It's more a lack of mental energy :?

Find people who also have things to do, make sure they know you have things to do, then sit by them and start working. Good work ethics tend to diffuse through groups, I've found.
