Also the specs on your microphone.

Looking at gear4music.com (because they came up on a search and weren't Amazon), first in list by each manufacturer:
Frequency Response: 20Hz-18kHz
Frequency Response: 20Hz – 20 kHz
(not listed)
Frequency Response: 35Hz - 20kHz
Frequency Response: 100 Hz - 15 kHz, -3dB
(not listed)
Frequency Response: 40Hz – 18kHz
Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz

oh...A trip down memory lane.
As a child, I loved watching the Bats come out at night.
Seeing Bats meant it was Time to go home.

Children are not allowed to do that sort of thing, anymore.

I'm not trying to actually do it. It was just a hypothetical question. It seems like the answer is yes.

Yes, it is, but it comes with the caveat that you'd need to be using equipment capable of recording such a high-pitched sound.

All, I've had a troubling year. I'm told I have PTSD and anger management issues. It appears I'm not able to conduct myself on these fora without provoking upset, at least for me, so I'm going to give it a rest for a while. If you need my astrophysics/ Middle East politics advice, PM me and I'll get the email. In the meanwhile, I'll sign off for a bit. Wishing all of you the best.

In my eyes you have never been anything except thoughtful, thought provoking and well informed.

People keep asking me for some of my cigarettes. I don't even smoke when I'm taking estrogen and they still want a cigarette. Some guy pulled up next to me in his car and asked, "Do you smoke cigarettes?" Hadn't even smoked yet nor did I have any so I just looked at him until he drove away. Then there was that lady that would ask for a cigarette and then go on about how the counseling center had complete control over her life. Anyways my thing is: I like cigarettes when I'm not taking estrogen and I'm not sharing any with random strangers.

I had people trying to bum cigarettes off me and I smoked maybe four or five cigarettes in my entire life. Some people just take any chance...

Yes! When people see others with cigarettes they get tempted to, "bum one off of you." It happened to somebody I know at work too. Yet seriously: I could do without the strangers asking me for cigarettes. At least with some of them I got to talk to them afterwards. Others just take their prize and run away to go smoke someplace else. And again random strangers asking me for my smokes: I don't smoke when I'm taking estrogen. Even though I really wanna. So yeah some people are just desperate for cigarettes I believe.

What is a term for a service that someone can receive for free, but they can choose to donate to? Examples might be Wikipedia or NPR. This is sometimes called the pay-what-you-want model of business. I wouldn't consider Wikipedia to be a charity, but it's not really a retail service because I can receive the service without paying. Is there another term to use for this kind of thing? I am looking for a term I can use if I want to say something like, "I like to donate to charities when I can afford it," only these types of services aren't charities, are they?

Does replacing "charity" with "nonprofit organization" change anything?

Edit addition: Perhaps "fund" rather than "donate" too.

I would call them "organizations", "non-profits", or "non-profit organizations" (NGO - non-governmental organization, is a more professional term that's not as much in common use).

I would consider an organization "a charity" if it collects money/goods from the public in order to distribute them to underserved or in-crisis communities.

That would make at least some sort of sense, but strangely enough all those strangers asked me for cigarettes during times I wasn't smoking (which connstitutes about 100% of my lifetime). They have literally never seen me smoking (or seen me before at all) but decided I might be the sort of person to have surplus cigarettes.
It occured to me, that logically a non-smoking person could have more surplus cigarettes (since they'd never actually light them) than someone who smokes, but we aren't living in a Monty Python sketch...

These people that take mine don't know me either. Legitimate strangers. That's why it's so creepy. And I'd much rather a Monty Python-like, "being paid to argue about cigarettes" or even a "fish slapping dance to get cigarettes" than some creepy homeless dude begging me for a smoke. Anyways that's enough on that subject for me just had to say that stuff. Ha-ha.

That fits for Wikipedia, but not every service that I want to donate money to is a non-profit organization. At least, I don't think so. OCRemix.org, Romhacking.net, and Bay 12 Games are some examples of services that I have used for years, and I now think I can afford to give them some of my money since I am in a better financial situation and I can afford it. The same might go for artists or musicians who accept donations through patreon or other types of payment services. Is there another name for these kinds of services that are on a pay-what-you-want model of business?
