Random Thought:

I have a memory of the 1989/1990 new years party i went to. I was only 6 at the time but I remember it because I remember my Mum telling me it was special as we were going into a new decade (which is when I found out what a decade was).

Anyway, the realisation hit me that it was now over 17 years ago.

I feel old.

I don't believe I have ever wanted to create a new thread while reading another thread. I always go to the thread listings first. Why is the button even there?

Often I'll have several topics open in several tabs along with lots of other stuff. If I suddenly get the urge to make a new topic, I won't bother with going back to the board first, I'll just use one of the already-read-but-not-exited thread tabs instead.
Not that I've made that many new topics here, but on other forums...

Feeting thought and redundant statement: In general, people would be a lot happier if they weren't so bitter.

It's the thought that counts.
It's funny in a sick way, I saw neighborhood and I thought of Mister Rodgers. Then I read the statement in whole context and I still thought of Mister Rodgers.

I believe. Teachers with extreme thick accents should not be teaching classes.
Not just accents, THICK ones. Like "just arrived from russia and got a job teaching logic and design" thick.

I can think of a few other jobs people with thick accents shouldn't have. Like tech support for example, is it just me or should people who can't pronounce "central processing unit" correctly not be trusted with fixing my computer.

See.. I don't have a problem with that.. the lackey who interrupts you as you're halfway through telling them the IP (Prounounced Eye Pee) address you're pulling from the service-supplied routing device to ask you to double click on the network connection and go to the support tab to read him the Ip (Prounounced like lip minus the L) number...

That's the guy I don't trust. I mean, whether or not you know what something's called and how to pronounce it is one thing. Not understanding that the person you're speaking to is supplying you with the information you need before you ask for it is another.

FT: Damn people with viruses on my network. :x
Just phoned the tech support about it again. They said they knew about the virus and they blocked the mac address that I previously gave, but someone else got infected. Lame admins... I don't even do networking, but it's sticks out like a sore thumb when 80% of the 3k packets/sec hitting you are fake ARP replies.
I told the guy at tech support about it... he goes...
"Well you should block the website from your browser" like... yeah. I know about packet sniffing, mac addresses, ARP, spoofed IPs... but I'm using IE6 and I don't know how to block a website. :?
I swear, if I wake up tomorrow and see more people infected

In fact, at the last LAN party I was at, a guy brought a whole ton of old computer parts, and we made gingerbread houses out of them.

Fun was had.

FT: why are you allowed to 'save' a post? If you're not going to post it, why type it up? And would copy-paste to a simple text editor not work just as well?
What the hell does that button do anyway?

::presses it::

...it asks you if you want to save the draft, in the same manner as a PM...
What I'd expected, but fairly pointless - I'd only ever want to save a message if I hadn't finished typing it up before I was disconnected (my dad likes to turn off the router at night, and quite frequently fails to warn me that he's going to bed), so the online draft system fails there.

I dunno, it's quite hard to fight off zombies (Infected machine zombies... ), I might have to move my wall of fire in front of them. Apparently firewalls can help.

Although, with all this information that's getting bounced around by this. I can find someone's Msn, their name, their address and what website their looking at.
I might just randomly add someone that's looking at a porn site then add them on msn and say: "Hi, I can see you're looking at porn. You should know that God kills a kitten every time you fap. Think of the kittens. That's all, have a good day."

As for saving posts. It is a bit pointless. Usually I type out a little bit, then elaborate and add stuff, till eventually I'm staring at an huge post. Then I transfer it to notepad for editing. My desktop is currently littered with txt files. At least the forward and back browser functions are forgiving when it comes to posts on most forums. Unlike FB's graffiti application which will cut you down in a split second. I really need to stop using that...

Fine, I exaggerate. Any idiot can listen to Soulja Boy, but you need to know how to read to read Twilight. Which changes things drastically.
