That looks semi-sensical, is only 10 dollars, and probably won't work even half as good as advertised.

It doesn't. You need to cook the potatoes first before you peel them.

A song. I don't care for it, but that's probably because everyone who ever mentions it asks me if I can play the steel drum part. Yes, I could, if I wanted to. But I don't, because it is a horrible song.

A "song"

I use the quotes because its hard to call it a song because it is so bad.

Actually, it's not. The true definition of a 'song' is voice and a piano. There really isn't a term for most of what we listen to now. Or so says my music teacher.

Regardless, whatever it is, it's a large pile of shit.

That's a very strict definition, and outside of musical academia, no one I know ever actually uses the term in that way (and even inside musical academia, it's relatively rare for someone to say just "song" and not "art song" or "lied")

I love how SecondTalon's question branched off into two discussions of such a different nature. We've got music geekery/"that's not a song" and people who started dancing to it.

I mean people with an overly-precise dictionary that is mainly useful to the kind of people who feel like distinguishing the works of Schubert from those of Bob Dylan.

Also people who just REALLY don't like Soulja Boy (or people like me, who object to non-standard spelling in song titles)

I loathe Soulja Boy too. Actually, it's the dance that goes with it that bothers me the most. I see that, without fail, every fucking day. Usually more than once a class period. The spelling irks me every time I see it.

The person who made The Man Thread called it The Man Thread. Likewise, the person who made The Girl Thread called it The Girl Thread.

I figured that was obvious.

Hmm... probably as happy as regulars were at being sigged by me when I was new (read: for my first four months or so)... You've been sigged by Fruit Swing.

Confession: I edited this post because I couldn't stand saying what I said out loud. Even though it's quite clear who I mean, as they've got an Aleril sig. I just hate being nasty to people whom I have not much reason to hate, when that nastiness could be better spent on those who're trying to ruin my life.

I also hate quotes, as there's no point in the censorship now. Read my next post for details.
