I'm sorry to say this, but the TV already owns your soul. In fact, it owns anyones who has watched TV in the last 5 years.

I hate my room-mates. They are too messy, and they allways leave the tv on standby but turn the digibox off.

I mute the commercials simply because they're obnoxious. But then I haven't watched TV in ages. (I don't consider DVDs TV though. :P)

FT: Gothic is not to black hair as brunette is to brown hair. Gothic is not to black hair as redhead is to red hair. Assuming all goths have black hair, it is not true to say all black haired people are goths.

In summary, gothic != black haired person. Stop it.

Why do so many programs have to be compiled from source on Linux even for common distros on x86, but have binaries ready to download for all supported versions of Windows? (Ahem, Apache.) Especially why do I have to recompile all of PHP just to get the dynamically-loaded GD module, when on Windows, I could just drop it in the extensions directory and restart the server, and I didn't even have to because it was included by default?

Also, I thought of the worst crossover ever. Spoiler'd for terribleness.

Install the php-dev package for your distro, find the source dir of the extension you want. 'phpize' it, 'make', 'make install'. Include it in your php.ini. Done. :-)
