If you hated highschool so much, why did you go there?

Because sometimes you must do things you loathe for a reward? People will pay more attention to you if you completed high school. Alternatively, because its parents did not allow it to take online schooling?

And what is this reward you are talking about? Money? Peoples respect? "Bah!" I say, for none of those things will make you happy.

Doing things like high school is a trade-off between doing things that are fun right now vs preventing long-lasting difficulties later in life.

You explain it then.

Maybe you have a large surface area to volume ratio in your hands more suited to dissipate heat. I have cold hands all the time, and I think I'm near the same build as you. I'm 6'2" and lanky, and I have really long, narrow fingers. I don't know, but maybe that works.

Random Though: Writing thank you letters is annoying.

And: Congratulations to everyone else who survived high school.

Don`t get me wrong, I think going to school is very important, but you shouldn`t do it just for some silly little reward.

And by the way. Having fun and beeing happy aren`t allways the same thing. For example, I`m not having fun, but at the moment I`m happy because the weather is nice and I have a good book to read.
I might be having fun while playing TF2, but I still might be unhappy for somereason. Finsihing highschool (or any other school) is not a ticket to a good job and happy life. You have to work hard to earn those things.

But anyway, I would like to say "congratulations" to everybody who has finished their schoolwork

Being able to attend (a good) college is a little more than a silly little reward. And the main reason I'm happy is because the last two years were horrendous due to the hard work I put into my studies.

I started a new schedule at work, 4pm to midnight, and I am so happy with it. When I was working 9-6, I felt like I was constantly jumping from one thing to another, rushing through requests and brushing off customers left and right because I was crazy busy. Now, it's a lot slower pace and I can get to know my customers and do the work they need without frantically trying to do 20 things at once. I had no idea how stressed that made me until I didn't have to do that anymore.

Sweet.

On the top of the tomb, seemingly driven through the solid marble - for the structure was composed of a few vast blocks of stone - was a great iron spike or stake. On the back I saw, graven in Great Russian letters:

'The dead travel fast.'

What's a marmot?

I think it's a mammal. I'm imagining some sort of beaver-looking creature, maybe more towards the look of a prairie dog.

I'll go look it up on Wikipedia.

Is there any way to take posts out of your 'view your posts' page? I mean, it's really nice to see all the topics I've been in before, and makes continuing convos easier, but there are some that have diverged, or i'd rather not watch anymore..

... I suppose I could always delete my posts out of those threads... but it seems like a waste, just to clean up my 'view your posts' page.

when i had braces, if i put something metal like a spoon in my mouth the spoon tasted like metal but if i just touched the braces with my tongue, they did not. HOWEVER if i touched the spoon to the braces, suddenly the braces tasted like metal. even if my tongue was not touching the spoon. i never figured out why that was. also, i will pay attention the next time i am hungry.

I was in Sydney recently and it was just... weird. I don't know what it was but it just didn't seem right.

And everything closed really early. And there were no decent bars or clubs. Or public transport. And there were too many hills, etc.

So, in summation, Melbourne rocks! Thank you, thank you.
