What if Randall, working on a new what-if, found out something that forced him to stop making them? He dug too deep into citations in obscure journals and unleashed... something?

I hope he at least presents us a gruesome explanation as a final What-If installation.

It will resume mid-July.

The given resume time exactly matches the projected time of closest approach of the New Horizons probe to Pluto.
