Mod Madness 2016: List of Filters

Postby patzer » Fri Mar 18, 2016 6:51 pm UTC

The Madness has started. Therefore, we need a thread to catalog all of the word filters which have been imposed upon us.

Here's a spreadsheet which anyone can edit: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13YfF5Swvd6De3ogbjpN4vStp5rdBG9rlI_Gp3WFtZTA/edit#gid=0

Feel free to add any filters you find to this spreadsheet.

It's the single thing I don't like about twilight/redshift/flux/screenreddenners on android: they aren't at the very end of the display pipeline so your screenshots get filtered too (and in my experience the button bar doesn't get filtered at all).

With the combination of Twilight and galaxy S4 active everything gets filtered and in this case, with the empinkening of my username, I think its apt.

Also it's the first time I've made screenshots at all on a phone, while I'm looking at my screen each night.

Hang on… we have "a pple" which turns into "Darmok", and "t he FBI" which turns into "Jalad"… I think there's a connection. If only we could find something the turns into "tanagra"…

No. I scolded you.

Alright, to get back on topic... I hate word list dumps to figure out filters

Because most of the good ones are phrases. Dumping two or three words singularly does nothing, but in the right combination....

Magic!

The point is, I never triple posted.

The first post was me testing a word I thought might be filtered. The second was flicky posting a thousand words. The first was me listing some of flicky's that Randall Munroe didn't use on his list of the top ten hundred. Basically, my second post was telling flicky "You're wrong"

Huh. You are correct.

For one, I thought I saw the triple post too. Second, what's going on with the fora? It's in some weird fixed width format and I'm having trouble posting.

Format still weird, but posting problems seem to have been resolved, for me at least.

We,'ve been shanghaied to a new platform or some such.

Removed the "Words Words Words" stuff from the spreadsheet - as you can see above, it was edited by a mod rather than being filtered.
