(Seeing as this all happened past midnight, I'm counting it as today)

High: Winning a limbo competition on-stage in the middle of a club, and winning a pair of sweet as aviators from it (made all the better by the fact that I had recently lost my favourite pair of sunglasses)

Low: Pulling my best friend and her ex-boyfriend apart to keep them from beating each other up, then spending a couple of hours seeing my best friend in tears, knowing all I could do is stand by and let her cry on my shoulder.

High: I came up with an epic experiment which my boss delcared "his favourite experiment of all time". Which was nice.

Low: got really fucking cold in the sea tonight, and I didn't catch any fish. :(

High: Getting accepted into my major of choice.

Low: Going back to being just friends with the girl I've been dating (not exactly a break-up since we were not exactly in a relationship).

Low: Had to listen to several horrible songs on the radio during driver's education.

High: Listened to "you are a pirate" just now.
Also, drove a car for the first time ever. I guess that's like a medium. It was underwhelming.

Low: Woke up late. Now my sleep schedule is probably all broken again.

High: My Qt / C++ project worked for no good reason, after I'd abandoned it for a week due to an unresolvable segfault.

High: Found the TV remote, on the floor near where my TV was previously sitting.

Low: Nothing on TV, as usual.

Low: I completely screwed my mind up early in the morning. It'll be a while before I feel comfortable about myself in that way again.

High: My best friend and I had an awesome conversation. It was full of sexual innuendo about her books and my music. It was awesome since we haven't talked in a few days and I was scared that she was mad with me.

High point: I got a nerd plaque on the forums! :D

Low point: I had to take my bike to the shop. I stripped the threads on the pedal bar.

Technically for yesterday

High - Went and saw a great one man play (A Bronx Tale)

Low - Phone still broken and can't get texts from friends. Heck can barely call anyone

High - Realized the Iphone 3GS is coming out soon and placed an order for one.

High - Sold my Ipod on craigslist and now have a decent amount of walking around money

Low: I've been oddly tired all day, despite having had a decent amount of sleep and a cup of coffee.

Lower: Trying to find suitable combination shampoo/conditioner in a substantial size bottle that isn't too expensive.

Lowest: Cleaning bird guano off my bicycle handlebars.

High: Um... clearing "Minna no Peace" and "COLORS" in Osu? I dunno. Today's just been awful.

Low: Finding out that my housemate has, in my 5-day absence, eaten my entire stock of pasta and potatoes. I'm out of money at the moment and she's really funny about sharing (as in it's OK for others to share with her, but not the other way round) so this means I'll be living off of army rations for another week (until I move into my new house which has people who aren't arseholes living in it).

Low: Still bummed out that Download finished on Sunday. I wanna see bands and get drunk every night again!

High: Finally, after 3 washes, got the sweat/mud/booze drenched clothes I wore at Download clean

High: Managed to get Starcraft re-installed

High: Discovered I have a couple of cLOUDDEAD EPs I still haven't listened to yet. That was interesting.

Low: Facebook tech support still hasn't got back to me telling me why my account decided to stop working or how I can fix it. :(

Low - good friend going on vacation so I will be bored and have nobody to talk to at work for a week

High - tracking number for my Iphone 3GS shows it should be delivered tomorrow. I'll be able to go back to riding my bike to work and have a fully functional phone again. Half the screen on my current phone is black and it randomly drops calls.

High: Listened to music

Low: Music is distracting me from a major logic error I need to fix. Since I'm playing music through my project, I have to stop it every time I test the program.
So the music and bug-fixing are almost exclusive, and music is winning.

Solution: Make a testing copy of the program, and only re-compile the development version. Duh.

High: I finally merged the "GUI with no hotkeys" and "command-line with hotkeys" branches of my ongoing Qt 4 project, and everything works great almost from the start.

Low: It's hard to track features and bug fixes across 3 [4 once I get some Windows stuff going] major branches, and I'm too lazy to set up git. I'll have to do that now.

High point: I saw my dog being really freaking cute; during a thunderstorm, she was literally hugging a stuffed rabbit, like a kid hugs a teddy bear. It looked like she was using it to try and comfort herself.

Low: My girlfriend doesn't come back to the state for another month :(

High: I just had the funniest section meeting in which some company rumours were discussed. And whether rumours that other rumours were actually facts made them any less rumours.
Low: I've had pretty much zero productivity all day and, despite waking up early and being all organised I somehow still contrived to get in to work late.

High: I got the new apartment, the landlady loved me, the building has a sauna and the flat's on the first floor which means I don't need to walk 104 stairs every time I want to get home ^^
Also, spending time with the boy next week for Battlestar Galactica, zombie/war movie and videogame marathons.

thus, NO LOWS.

High: About 3:30 pm - no specific reason
Low: About 10:30 am - no specific reason

I'm quite used to living my life on a sine curve (actually, it's more of a sine cubed, but that's unnecessary detail), but with a period of somewhere between two weeks and three months. A low and a high in one day has left me exhausted and with a craving for cheese on toast. With lots of worcestershire sauce.

In chronological order:
Low: Woke up an hour early because they're working on the apartment next door.
Low: Japanese lesson didn't go well. None of us students could concentrate. We cut it off half an hour early.
Low: Saw two lousy apartments, unrentable.
Low: Ate too much junk food for dinner.
Low: Got dumped by the guy I'm dating.
Low: Came last place in a game of Carcasonne.

High: The day's over, I guess?
Mighty Jalapeno: "See, Zohar agrees, and he's nice to people."
SecondTalon: "Still better looking than Jesus."

Nice. I thought my day was bad, but yours wins

Low: Found out I failed half my modules of the year

High: Found out I got a 1st in one of my passed modules

High: Found out I can re-sit the failed ones. They'll be capped at the minimum pass rate but hey, if it means I pass the year...

High: Found 50p

High: Mum called me from work and cheered me up a bit

High: Dad called me from work and cheered me up a bit more

Low: Took two hours to get the re-sit form sorted.

High: My sister phoned me coming out of work and cheered me up some more

High: Moving into a new house. My room's smaller, but it's nicer, has an on suite and the guys I'm renting with are a lot cooler than the girls I lived with last year.

High: My brother phoned me up. Seeing as he's the only one in my family to have been in as bad an academic situation as I am at the moment, he cheered me up quite a lot. Last of my worries are gone: I'm just gonna have to do a lot more boring revision. He was also the only one to talk about normal stuff and provided a nice distraction from dwelling on shitty exams.

Overall I'm feeling OK now. Not too bad, not too good either.

High: Finding out we randomly have all our movie channels again.

Low: Being extremely worried that they aren't supposed to be on, and that someone turned them on when they weren't supposed to, and that we are going to get charged a whole lotta money don't have.

High: Getting somewhat started on all things I really really need to do.

Low: Really didn't do much of the things I really really need to do, and found out I need to get a release form for any respectable orthodontist to work on my braces. Seriously, I've had them on since 8th grade, I'm 19 now! I just want these fuckers off!

Low: Feel bad about eating and drinking really unhealthy pizza and coke.

High: There was pizza and coke.
Oh. Well that's alright then.

Low: Calling my ex-girlfriend and practically begging her to get back together with me, only to be turned down because she has decided that she no longer thinks the emotional ordeal of a relationship is worth it. (yes, I am aware how emo and pathetic this sounds, and I would like to just say that I'm usually not like this.)

High: I guess in some way I can now accept that the relationship is definitely over, and maybe I'll be able to move on (oh, and also i read a dew really good Questionable Content comics).

Wow, this is a very weird first post. I've been lurking for months, and finally have decided to become active. Just really needed to get that out of my system. I love these forums though. People here are really nice.
