Low: Coming over to Whelan's house and seeing that the room I was going to help clean was so full of ick that the carpet was.. covered. Gone. Lost. Six bin bags worth of lost..

High: Whelan's room being clean! Just.. untidy. But that'll be sorted out on saturday. And the triumph of setting up a Slave drive in a Compaq. n_n
Oh, and now I get to go home. That'll be nice.

The high point: I get the house all to myself!

The low: It was going to be that my cousin lost all his cars' windows in a hailstorm, but I just found out one of my friends was shot by a mugger. Yikes.

Highpoint: The nigh-crying-with-happyness face of my girlfriend when I managed to get her and her luggage (which included a flagpole) to her bus, in time, by carrying it on the subway AND still managed to run and buy her breakfast too. Which she had forgot and was worried about not getting to eat for another 6 hours due to the busrides lenght.

Lowpoint: Getting a call from my boss telling me i get on at 11:00 today which means i don't quit untill 19:00... Nad it's friday. I haven't even left for work yet.

High point: Made significant progress on the piano. Spent the whole day listening to music and reading!

Low point: I didn't ever get around to actually leaving the house. Also, Debussy is hard.

High point: Finding out the machine I've spent two hours doing a pretty half-arsed job of fixing is being replaced next week.

Low: waking up with a sore throat (no! I will not get ill! I refuse! I have things to to do, I don't have any time to be ill!) Another low point was finding out that my childhood hero had died yesterday.

High: having a friend who will lend me her mobile phone charger since I left mine at another friend's house.

High: Watching the YouTube clips of "A Very Potter Musical".

Low: Brushing the ferocious family feline, Sophie. She's a longhair and absolutely hates being brushed. As can be expected, she hissed and yowled and scratched and bit me. Then as I was heading to the basement to put the brush away, she attacked my ankles. At least I don't have to do it very often; my mother is usually the one who brushes the cat.

High point - Driving out to western mass to see the place I want to move to.

Low - dealing with parental bs over not being available to 'help' in their 'work' to keep all their 'kids' entirely trapped in their 'support' 'system'
People are animals, too.

High: We made a new friend yesterday while coming home from camp. She's fairly awesome and random; we'll have fun talking with her.

Low: Ahh! She's a Twilight fan! Why must every girl I want to get to know be obsessed with that horrible tripe!?

Lower: My computer's graphics card definitely died. I slogged down to the basement and got my mom's old monitor, but that didn't help anything past the first Startup Repair. I really don't want to lose all of my important music //_x

Just as low as lower: I have to rush and finish tons of work by today in order to turn it in to the online class in order to get a semi-decent grade. [ By the way, I hate online classes ]

High: Spending the day with my mom and actually enjoying it.

High point of yesterday (I just got up): going to an amusement park with my girlfriend, finding out she also likes roller coasters, having a great time, and having her fall asleep on my shoulder on the ride home. Note: neither of us were driving.

Low point: staying up far too late last night so that I am now about 6 hours behind the rest of my family who lives in the same house.

After working my first job in the public sector, I swore to myself that I'd never take on a job in a corporate environment doing mundane, boring development (IE Vacation Management Applications).

Today my boss's supervisor came up to me and asked me to investigate an alternative to their Lotus Notes vacation management application. A part of me just died.
