Good things abound!

I'm the Art Director for this semester's Literary Magazine at my college.

I'm a writer for the college newspaper, for the entertainment section.

I... there really aren't any bad things right now! :D

(for yesterday)
low: talked to ex again, cause im stupid, ended up asking dumb questions that i knew would make me feel miserable. found out some things that really marginalize whatever dwindling self worth i have, and failed to understand how she can still worry about me and not just hate me...
high:called a friend from across the street i haven't talked to in a while and for the first time in a very very long time got to hug someone when i cried. then we walked around while it was snowing then went back inside and made grilled cheese sandwiches and sat on the kitchen floor and talked, it was nice.

REAL WORLD
High: two of my best friends are coming over for dinner and Guitar Hero and Singstar and drinks and talking and watching the Futurama movie! Yippee!
Low: I'm going to have to rush home like mad and buy stuff and clean up and get dinner going before they come.

FORA WORLD
High: the fora, full stop.
Low: feeling sad for MrOrange; wanting so much to make him realize what it took me so long to about self worth and not putting yourself down but knowing that that knowledge has to be learned for yourself. *hug*

Low: The rest of the day, its slow and uneventfull at most times
High: That "what is **should** be doing right now thread and all it's rhymes!

Low: Still kinda sick, annoying but the high more than makes up for it:
High: The strike is over! The school year finally starts on Sunday (the first semester was originally supposed to end in about two weeks)! I get to finish my degree this year! That means I can quit my job in three months! That also means there's no problem taking a Japanese course next September and flying to Japan later in the year! Also, once quitting my job I'll start a "real" full time job eight months earlier than if the academic year was canceled! I'm so happy...

Low: I'm sure I made a dozen grammar errors in that sentence, especially in those brackets at the beginning. :-)
Mighty Jalapeno: "See, Zohar agrees, and he's nice to people."
SecondTalon: "Still better looking than Jesus."

High: Tonight I am going to see Tommy Tiernan live! He's one of my favourite comedians so I am ridiculously exited, and am totally expecting to die or crack a rib or something as a result of laughing too damn much.

Low: I found out I'm all anemic again ("What're you lookin' so anemic about, Bernard?") so I have to take a bunch of iron pills and stuff again. This is actually not that bad because now I know why I've been so down and exhausted all the time.

High: I may finally be getting a graphic design commission, providing I catch a snake from under someone's house first. Story at eleven.

Low: my friend Catherine died before I got home from work and I feel... bad. Everything mixed together is just bad. I don't make friends easily and he was my best friend for ten years.

High: Finally, at long last, finished cleaning and organizing to the point of spotless. I go through cycles of laziness where I'll let stuff accumulate, to frustration where everything has to get cleaned NOW. Unfortunately, sometimes the urge to clean wears off before the job is done. It took me three days, but all the half-assed cleaning that I've done over the years is finally corrected.

Realism: I give myself perhaps two weeks to wreck it again.

Low: I'd like to be asleep right now, but I have a stomach bug that isn't letting me rest. :( It's tolerable when I'm vertical, but when I lie down it feels like my stomach lurches and I have to sprint to the bathroom. I'm very tempted to lurk around here until I literally fall asleep in my chair.

High: Tried to drop some classes, failed to do so, realized that I actually value them a lot more than I thought I did.

Low: Played a bunch of Starcraft with people I call friends, but pretty much only play Starcraft against. And Starcraft is getting really old.

Neither of those sounds very high or low, but I'm viewing them as such right now.

High point - exciting sex this morning. Plus for the second visit in a row, Johnny D's had EXACTLY what I wanted in the specials!

Low point - My cell phone was recently telling me I had one voice mail and one text message more than I actually had, even if the total was actually zero. TODAY I find out it hasn't been giving me a total number of voice mails at all! I had 13 some as old as Monday!

Low point: Absolutely awful weather. I went out on my motorcycle for an essential errand, and... eesh. Some of the worst weather conditions I've ever ridden in, though I've ridden on snow and through an ice storm. The rain was a couple of degrees above freezing, incredibly heavy and totally relentless. Ouch. Plus, this kind of ruined my plans to take my roomie as a pillion passenger to Cracker Barrel.

High point: Got a new helmet, finally! And ordered in some really nice pizza. Nom nom nom....

heh, i don't have anything against snowboarding, i actually tried it first but i was pretty young and it has a bit of a steeper learning curve than skiing, and since we were about to go on a vacation to a ski place i decided i would at least try skiing, and it turned out since i cross country skiied before, it was a lot eaiser to pick up. long story short, skiing is easier to be good enough at to have fun, but its eaiser to get MUCH better at snowboarding than it is at skiing. as far as i can tell. boots? ive actually got a pair of dalbello boots that i like pretty well, they had a bigger toe space than the other ones i tried out, and i can put my orthotics in them (i have really flat feet) so that they're actually pretty nice. but that's just me.

Low: Not been skiing for a week. Need to practice snowboarding more before I go back to the mountains on one again.

Possible high: If tomorrow's nice, and I get up early enough, I'm going to the slopes (on skis, not snowboard).

Low: Berengal is not referring to Linuxboard by name (I am sad and way too involved with the fora and awake at 4am on a Monday).
High: Life's pretty good in general. Nothing specific springs to mind right at the moment, but it is 4am on a Monday.

@Moo: I wasn't referring to any spesific snowboard in that post. If I had, and that had been the Linuxboard, then I would've called it the Linuxboard.

High: Good night's sleep.
Low: (Good) day's sleep. No skiing :(

Aww. I can sympathize with the iron pills part. What percentage of daily amount are you on? I'm at 450. Need them for an entirely different reason, though.

Low : A rather unpleasant if refreshingly honest conversation with the boy last night, though I fear feelings may have been hurt, and egos were certainly bruised.
Low : In forcing my flatmate into having a conversation about an issue around which she was feeling rather sensitive I managed to make her cry and now I'm rather convinced she currently hates me.
Low : Phone call from baby sister this morning that saw her in a rather emotional state, feeling physically ill and realising that she was presenting symptoms rather indicative of a pregnant state, am waiting to hear from her on her return from the doctor now. It would be the very worst thing that could happen to her right now.

High : Ummm, mango for breakfast? Meh, couldn't really eat it. But it would've been really good if I did.

Well, that's... certainly a large kick in the pants. I hope things turn out okay, particularly with your sister.

High Point:
IM Chat between Moo & Keozen wrote:(14:37:37) Keozen - At Work (May not reply): So: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
(14:38:23) Moo: Well... let x equal the average woodchucking rate of a woodchuck...
(14:39:04) Moo: x is of course not a constant but a function of the type of wood and whether the woodchuck is real or just illustrative
(14:39:36) Moo: So we want to find y, as a function of x, where y = the amount of wood the woodchuck could chuck.
(14:40:01) Moo: Obviously the function y must also be a function of time. Thus y = f(x, t)
(14:40:16) Moo: However t is not given in the original problem stated. Therefor it can never be solved. EVER
