I really think it's depressing when I have to go over to the mailboxes on a special trip and then there's nothing in there... pretty please, someone be my penpal. I always have interesting things to say. I'm a writer, for God's sake. And I have pretty handwriting.

All I ever get in the mail is advertisements or bills. So if anyone wants a postcard from Norway (we got fjords) or wants to brighten up my day, let me know.

The term "lol" gets very overused these days and have lost all sense of something making someone genuinely, unexpectedly, sometimes embarrassingly, laugh. Out loud.
joff's avatar made me lol in the oldskool sense.

Unfortunately I no longer live in South Africa, as I don't think anyone else on the fora could supply a postcard from there either, but although I'm hardly the only British member I'm still down with postcard exchanges. I will also send one from South Africa at Christmas to anyone who wants one from there (yay going to visit my family at Christmas!!!!!!!!!!)

So, hey, I'm a Hoopy Frood who would like some non blagonet correspondence from anyone who cares to send me it. PM me for my address or to give me yours. Postcard style requests welcome, otherwise I will choose a subject randomly from my hat from a list I made earlier (such as "Internet Meme style", "photos I've taken myself", "Moo themed" etc).

So I did send out my one postcard! I made it myself and everything.

... does anyone else want more? I'm not exactly in an exotic locale... but California's pretty cool, hey?

Postage to Alaska from Quebec = not too much
Postage to Sweden from Quebec = a little more
Postage to Sweden from Alaska = a lot more.

But since I was going to put in a few dollars anyway, I went the whole nine yards and put the thing in an oversize envelope, just to confuse the post office people. It weighed 37g! Actually, the reason I put the postcard in an envelope (yes I did do that) was because ThorFluff's address is so long (his street name alone is five syllables... the way I pronounce it at least) that it wouldn't fit on the card. I wrote in big letters so it won't be mistaken.

Thor, please teach me how to pronounce your street name, I fear my American English has slaughtered it.

I put a loonie and a toonie in for size reference. Because, y'know they were just sitting on my desk. And everybody loves loonies.
Also, I wrote a small note.

Hmmm... well...

I can't promise you outstanding pictures...

But I'll tell you what... I'll take some photos around where I live, stick them together in a sort of collage for a postcard front, print a few off in a photo shop, and send them out to anyone who wants them!

And if I'm feeling inclined... I might throw it into an envelope and send a few bits and bobs with it. You never know your luck!

Of course, I would be happy to receive any postcards from fellow XKCDicans... if you want to send me one... PM me, and I'll get to address giving! :D

Oh, I love receiving mail. (You know, the real kind, not bills or ads or reminders for dental cleanings.)

So, I'm going to list my address here, since it hasn't said anywhere (on this thread, that I could find) I couldn't. Because I'm not afraid of you.

Moo, I did get yours, and I sent you a PM about it too! But upon inspection, it seems I hit the "Save" button instead of the "Submit" button. Sorry about that.
I have my camera on me right now, and I plan to take a few pictures to send later this week. I promise. I am so bad at this.

I'm still new to this community, but if you're willing to believe me when I say that I am not a scary stalkerish person, then I'd be happy to send you a postcard from Japan. (Of course, I'd be happy to receive some postcards, too. My mailbox is empty so often that I get excited about receiving my phone bill... :( )

I've just discovered it's about 56p to send a postcard anywhere in the world from here which is frigging awesome. Plus I live in Brighton so the postcards here are swell.
Someone may be lucky enough to receive one if i'm ever bothered to go out and buy some.
