I moved out of my house, and my landlord was late collecting the keys, so I went to the pub for tea with my housemates, 3 pints later I handed over my keys and went to wetherspoons to meet the other five people still in bangor (from one of the uni clubs, not the last five residents) where an indeterminate number of beers were consumed, before we proceeded (to my new) home, where I had a quarter bottle of Hendricks gin (delicious) followed by sharing a bottle of Sloe Gin with my ex (and having an awkward moment trying to drunkenly articulate that I'd missed her company over the last year, without her thinking I was hitting on her). Oh and to top it all off we're having our drains replaced, so every time any of us needed the toilet, we had to leave the house, cross the road and go to the toilets in the main uni building's 24 hour foyer.

Math test, to a pint, to playing D&D for the first time (which was pretty damn awesome, grappling a giant worm/snake thing? very cool), to a looong pub crawl. this pub crawl included drinking hempk beer, listening to some guy playing crappy acoustic guitar in what we thought was a bar, dancing with some crasxzy cool guy, and then at the same bar calming down a douchebag (as in a guy with a fake tan, eerings, and a popped collar), who wanted to start some shit becuae 'DO YOU THINK I"M FUNNY? HUH? DO YOU THINK I"M FUNNU? To which i responed, naaah, you're cooool! amnd then walking all the way back to my house. and tommorow, i have anoyher party!@ I love university libe.

Edit:So tonight, I proved that a knowledge of basic programming logic can get you beer. In exchange for helping another engineer with a math programming lab, I got a pound of wings and 2 pints of beer, for free.

Okay, "buirthdat" is definitely the most fucked-up word in that post, but I'm going with "celeberating" as the best part because it could be taken as a portmanteau of "celebrating" and "berating".

I'm actually likely to do some more "celeberating" come Friday. Math test that day, and we certainly aren't going to celebrating afterwards...

At the moment I'm to defibrillate my circadian rythm by staying up all night last night. This way, I'll be really tired by bedtime tonight, so I'll go to sleep at a good time and wake up early. So far, it's going swimmingly except that I'd forgotten what a lightweight I am when I'm tired, and I'm at home with my parents this weekend. Woo! Drunk with the oldies!

Followup: here's the map I drew last night while drunk as a skunk.

Spoiler:

I forgot the island of Gothland in the Baltic, and Greece is too big, and Turkey is a bit weirdly shaped, but overall I'm proud of it. I even took care to do dotted lines for Scotland and Wales.

There was no way for me to post this last night, but I think the fora deserve to hear the craziness that I remember of last night. I went to a kegger where the first 100 people got Jagger Bombs, and then proceeded to drink heavily from the 4-tap keg. After the cops came and shut it down, I went to another friends house, where we chilled for a bit, until I began vomiting up most of what I drank. I then got walked home by my less drunk roommmate, who managed to get me into bed.
All relatively normal right?
Turns out I ended up with someone else's shoes...They're a couple sizes too big, and when I tried to put them on now, they were REAL uncomfortable.

How the fuck did that happen?

I magically went from "not sober, but not stupidly drunk" to "Had two friends help me walk, because I kept falling over if alone" in about two hours. And I did it without double long islands*.

At least I don't have a hangover, since I managed 10 hours of sleep!

Well, I buried my Great-Uncle Joe today. And then I went right back to university. Drink 2 pints with friends in honour of my uncle, and have to get up for school tommorow. Life ain't great, but it could be far worse. Also, Health Sci's are really stupid. Bringing the faculty cup to an engineering pub, and then drinking out of it? It's going to get stolen. In fact, it DID. I love my faculty. Well drunk xkcdians, I'll post next time I'm drunk, until then, good drinking.

For the record, it was one hell of a party. And when I say party, think about 2pm to 4am. Then add a lot of your closest friends. Throw in a handful of silliness. Then add a heaping spoonful of dancing. Enjoy.

I am drinking something that I am quite enjoying:

a double old fashioned glass
1 teaspoon of sugar
more then enough water to dissolve it
4 dashes of peychaud's bitters

muddle together until the sugar is dissolved, add 4-5 ice cubes.

fill the glass it up with the cheapest vodka you can get and stir... Get drunk

It is a pink drink, so if you are male and not comfortable with your sexuality, I recommend you avoid it.

I've recently broken up with my girlfriend after not that great a time; A few terrible things happened in out just-over-a-year together that I'm not going to feel comfortable talking about with anyone other than my immediate family. Things have ended badly. At the end of the day, I know what I did needed to be done. And I know that eventually we will both end up happier, but it's pretty shitty all the same. All this guilt is the worst part: knowing that I hurt her, even if it's to make us both happier. I just feel so selfish for ending it.
I'm also worried about my Dad. After nearly thirty years of marriage my Mum is moving out of the house she and my Dad have shared for all that time. He's pretty cut up about this: I've only just had the courage to ask him about it tonight and he says that, yeah he doesn't want it to happen, but he thinks it's for the best. After all I've just been through I can understand this: If one person wants to leave, you have to just let them, you're never going to be truly happy in a relationship if the other person isn't. On top of that his boss, a good friend of his, has just died of cancer. OK, it was a long time coming, and he was old that it would probably happen sometime this week, if hewas lucky, but that still doesn't make it that much better. But Dad's not the sot to dwell on these sort of things. He thinks crying, wallowing in pity, and all the jazz that usually comes with the death of someone you're close too is selfish. He thinks the best way to get over this sort of thing is to remember the good things and, no matter how bad you feel, to try and stay happy for the sake of their memory. Now, I kind of respect this and admie it, but I personally don't think it's the healthiest thing to do. I know, eventually, Dad will be OK, but I don't want the painful period to last longer than it needs to.
So basically between us we've had a bottle and a half of wine, plus about two pints of beer on my part. we both would have had a lot more, I think, only Dad has work in the morning and I have a thingk about not drinking more than a pint on my own (and absoloutly no other forms of intoxication if noone else is participating: I'm absoloutly terrified of becoming addicted to things). So yeah, I'm drnuk.
On the other hand, not being with my girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend now) means I have lot more freedom: I can wear what clothes I want, I can hang out with who I want, I can visit my parents for more than two days at a time without being told I'm abandoning her, and I have the free time to go on the XKCD forums again. Woo!
Plus, the highlights from Glastonbury 2010 are on late night telly, and I'm being reminded of lot of fun I had ther with my brother, sister and Dad. Swings and roundabouts eh?

Anyhow, I'm drnuk and I'm back. If any of you remember me. To be fair, I wasn't here that long.

Goddammint, drunk, and no luck at all tonight. I bought a nice geeky girl, who I was talking too all night, a shot of tequila. and she licked it off my neck. and then went to the bathroom, and then asked another guy for drinks, and did absolutely nothing until i had to leave to catch the bus. This night was a total bust, and to top it all off, my good friend, who I had a crush on, hooked up with my other good friend, who was awkward enough that we didn't think that they'd get anywhere. And if I'd gotten anywhere at all tonight, then I would be incredibly happy for them, but instead, i just feel like abitter old man, which you really shouldn't feel at 19. I know this is just a temporary feelingg and that i won't really care, but it would be really nice to see actual proof that girls aren't completely shallow and are just looking for the hottest, coolest guy. And just for the record, I KNOW that the majority of girls aren't like that, I just wish I could meet some in a socially appropiate seetting for hooking up.

After work (I get off at 21:00) I have a hot date with two friends, and a bottle of each of the following: Havana club dark rum, bombay gin, Olmeca tequila, stolichnaya vodka and a cointreau.

A cola might sneak in there, with some fresh lime too.

This might end badly. We don't usually stop till our bottles are empty.
