Word Disassociation

Postby william » Sat Jan 20, 2007 4:51 pm UTC

This is like Word Association, except you have to choose words that have no relation to each other.

I'll start.

If we're saying the first word that doesn't come to mind, doesn't that mean we have to wait until we're dead to post?

Oh, well, enough of me has died that I think I can safely post sensuous.

Though I still think this was an association of sorts. A "what is Scooby Doo not" association. Which I think would also be appropriate in the other thread.

EDIT: Oh, damn, got beat by no-genius. My word is now Australia.

I've played a game like this, although in the version I've played, it's a case of
"post (n+2) tries to find link between content of post (n) and (n+1)". So for example, If I went now, I'd try to find a link between Crackers and Pirates. Like say, Digital Crackers are also probably Digital Pirates. Links like "both are in this thread" are not allowed. "Water" is also a banned word to begin with.

It's amazing how hard it becomes. (Pirates-->Feegles (both CN/CG); Pirates-->"The letter X" (marks the spot)...)

Anyway, The Plane of Mechanus.

This is probably the worst spam htread ever
Basically the topic is simply
Post any one word completely unrelated to the previous one
If it has ANY context, you FAIL

I am tempted to delete this thread :P

I also am tempted. it is too similar to word association. Or maybe too dissimilar.

I've rolled a bit in Brazillian Ju Jitsu, and is a very unique and effective fighting style. Garunteed to win over anyone who trains in a diciplined standing style like Karate.

Oh, but now I have to think of an unrelated word? Now that my mind's on ju jitsu, every word that comes to mind is inheratly related to it, is it not?

Blah. CHEESECAKE!

Edit: Damn, I took way to long to respond. Good thing my word is still perfectly acceptable! xD

Hahaha, are you kidding?
I don't remember who said that, some other BJJ guy was all "BJJ pracitioners are always fucking assholes, they ALWAYS have to talk about how much greater it is than any other sport"
and here you go and support the stereotype
Good job sir.
As for it really being that great, I am uncertain, I would say people doing ultimate fighting and that shit have the best style, since, well, they can beat anyone up. They are usually never one style though, so...
