Post your handwriting!

Postby LE4dGOLEM » Sat Jan 20, 2007 6:03 pm UTC

That's right! In the style of the "post your face" thread, let us all see your handwriting! Grab a pen, grab some paper, write out the alphabet, some numbers, some symbols, scan it in, upload it somewhere, and let us all see what kind of freakish borken-legged spider resides on the end of your wrist!

My oh-so-exciting list of things to do today before I can go out and have fun. Yes, I am so excited about doing my washing, I could just burst.

I am off to the Griffith Observatory around 4ish, however, which should be a bit good!

Then off out with the girls this evening. :P

Why would you ever need to write at a time like that?

my handwriting is terrible and varied... but sometimes i see the way i've written a certain letter or word and i really like it. i don't think i have any examples on here, and can't be bothered with all that writing rigmarole just now...

oh yeah, i do have this one, from a years old maths jotter...

Image

i don't really know why i took it, i guess i had my camera in school that day and i liked the look of that bit of the page :)

Liebniz' notation is better than Newton's notation, you know. I love Newton, though. Except the part where he stuck a needle in his eye. And his notation for the calculus. :P

EDIT: I don't have a scanner, but I do have a printout of each letter of the Latin (normal English) and Greek alphabets with my own handwriting's version of each letter next to the corresponding printed letter, I will scan it in the future, however.

I've just noticed that Fluff spells ``colour hair'' with a ``u'', which I find to be an oddity since I thought (but don't actually know for sure, of course) that she is Americanian.

Hmm, that probably should've been ``I've just noticed that Fluff spells ``color hair'' with a ``u''...''.

Just like the time when I heard Linus Torvalds saying ``I pronounce Linux as Linux'', and I said ``OF COURSE he pronounces Linux as Linux, how else would he pronounce it?!" Everyone thought I was weird.

She's from (just outside?) Manchester. Also if she likes The Fal (i'm not sure that she does), she will be a pretty decent lady in my book. (and a decent pretty lady too)

d/dx gets a bit annoying after a couple of terms?

also x - dot is sometimes used to mean d/dt

newton is a bastard. my maths teacher last year was crazy about his notation, which i could not get my head a round, until about a fortnight before the exam a friend showed me how to do a problem in leibniz, and the whole calculus thing fell into place. i didn't do fantastically in maths, but it was good to get the 20-30% of the paper that i would have been guessing at before.

Wow, your handwriting looks a lot like mine. It's not completely the same, but if I ever need to forge your handwriting, I know I will succeed! About whether it's girly or not, whatever the general consensus, one of us has a handwriting that doesn't fit with his/her gender ;).

Also, I don't have a scanner & lost my camera, so I'm trying to write with a graphics tablet, but it looks ugly & not very much like real handwriting. Trying tons of different pens in Painter IX right now (tried in Photoshop first, but well, that didn't work out).

* Edit: Ok, the graphics tablet idea didn't work out. I found an image with a few words from some asignment, but it's written in with some weird pen for drawings, so my "normal" writing with a fountain pen or pencil looks a bit different. Oh, also, now and then I write letters a different way, 'cause I think it will look nicer (for example, I don't write my 'f' like that anymore). Anyway, here it is:
