WARNING: Old people have found The Internet.

OK, so remember when all teh younguns joined Teh Webnets in the 90s and your email boxes were filled with things like Fwd - FW: Fwd --- FWD: Check tihs out!!!11? And then they all figured out how lame that was and stopped doing it?

Now old people have email and they don't know it's lame yet. Holy shit. I went years without getting forwards, and now old people are all up in my Tubes. It doesn't feel so good.
One of these days my desk is going to collapse in the middle and all its weight will come down on my knee and tear my new fake ACL. It could be tomorrow. This is my concern.

I had a girl in grade school get PISSED at me for not forwarding one of those things because it had some stipulation that everyone you forwarded to had to forward it back or it wouldn't work properly. Then I tried to explain how that would result in a never ending cycle of forwarding the same email back and forth she stopped talking to me for a week.

I was less than upset.

But based on all your posts in the "music yer listening to" thread you listen to lots of pop music. Pop = popular = of the people... and no matter how indie your tastes the music is definitely in the pop idiom.

muteKi, what if some music that's part of the MTV culture has synthesizers in it? Does your head explode?

When I think of "pop" music, I think of American Idol. Look at what they sing. Most of what I listen to will never be used for an audition. I also think about what our self-professed pop radio station plays: rap, Panic! at the Disco, RHCP, etc. Again, what I listen to, sans a few bands, is generally not heard on the radio.

Or maybe I'm just mistaken and am a product of a society that tells me to rebel against authority. In this case, you represent authority and I am actively denying my involvement with pop music.

American Idol? thats just shite.
