A new voice

Postby Blubb3r3ng3l » Thu Mar 27, 2008 9:48 pm UTC

If you could have anyone's voice in the world, whose would it be?

I have a couple top contenders, notably Johnny Cash and James Earl Jones... but I was wondering who else is ideal for someone else.

Bobby McFerrin by day, Dianne Reeves by night.
Or Thom Yorke by day, Amy Winehouse by night.
Or Nat King Cole all the damn time.
Ciúnas, bóthar, cailín, bainne.

The first thing that came to mine was Jon Lovitz, but I realized that would get old fast.
James Earl Jones would be weird with my body. I dislike my voice a lot, so I'd prefer any other. I quite like Harry Shearer's voice though, maybe that one specifically.

Christina Aguilera. Spinto soprano ftw! - Though I'd use that gift for a different style of music than her.

Phil Anselmo.

Before he ruined it with heroin and whiskey and stuff.

1) Not too strong texan accent
2) Funny laugh
3) Can hit a high note cleanly
4) Can scream and growl like nothing else. Incredible voice.

Listen to Pantera - Cowboys from Hell, Medicine Man, I'm Broken and Drag the Waters. (Warning: Metal alert) to see what I mean about his range.

:D

Plus Pantera owns.

I can't believe you people. Sean Connery. I would have Sean Connery's voice or, to be honest, I wouldn't mind Vin Diesel's.

Ah, I couldn't handle Sean Connery's voice.

Far too distinguishable. I'd be asked to record Sean Connery style cards for people.

That are teh suck.

Vin Diesel would be nice, but you would have to be a big meaty fella to pull it off. Even he only just manages to pull it off!

I like Hayley Williams' voice, and Lacey Mosley's. . . (That's Paramore and Flyleaf, respectively)

But for a Brit's voice. . . I don't know. . . I can't think of anyone that can compete with my SO, and so finding another British accent even remotely appealing is difficult.
