Goals

Postby Fat Tony » Tue Apr 01, 2008 12:31 am UTC

What are your goals in life?
My main goal is to save the world by spreading messages of peace, happiness (all that good crap), etc. through my music.
Some goals that are minor compared to that, but still incredibly important to me:
Having the Fat Tony (Foot-long Italian Herbs & Cheese with roast beef, turkey and bacon, topped with American, Provolone, and Swiss cheeses [double extra cheese; none of this "1/3 American, 1/3 Swiss etc. crap] toasted with no condiments) added to the Subway menu.
Finding, coming into possession of, and wearing a pair of purple corduroy pants.
Becoming the standard result for a Wikipedia search for "Fat Tony" (currently, it's the Simpsons character [A nice first step will be having it changed to making the standard result the "Fat Tony (disambiguation)" page {I do not have a Wikipedia article at the moment}]).

I want to be a research/development computer scientist. If I manage to become a Jewish/nerdcore rapper or a writer along the way, that's good too.

Also, I want to move somewhere warm and have a happy marriage.

Hoping to go into primary teaching (will also require me to properly learn Irish, which I'm hoping to do as well) and develop/investigate some sort of early computer literacy course. Family and all would be nice as well.

Damn, I could do with a Fat Tony right now.

Become a famous/popular/awesome guitarist in a heavy metal band.

I want a good life for whatever children I intend to have.

...

If by a "good life" you mean, "starting a hit MTV show whereby I sell my privacy to make cash".

And if by "children" you mean me.

And if by "good life" you mean getting wasted and still managing to put on a good show every night.

And by "good show" you mean me just being awesome.

And by "awesome" you mean sexy.

And by "sexy" you mean having vast quantities of sex, on stage, with lots of hawt groupies who are free from all inhibitions and sexual diseases.

...

Then, yes, I have a goal in life.

Also: I could also do with a Fat Tony. A big, fat, hot, twelve inch Fat Tony. Mmmm.

I can feel the melted cheese run down from the corner of my mouth.

MMMMM.

You mean my goal of having an orgy on stage when I'm supposed to be playing, or actually being in a popular heavy metal band? Because that's not THAT unrealistic.

I don't know if it's quite a goal, but I have a dream of owning a shop that sells chocolate/baked goods/books/various glittery antique type crap.

Also to see David Bowie in concert.

I could really go for a Fat Tony right now, but the nearest Subway is closed and about 5 miles away.

But I have no real goals in life. I still have plenty of time to decide what I want, change it, decide again, ???, profit.

I figure we can not only tell each other about our goals here, but try and help each other with them as well.
If enough people start going to Subway and asking for Fat Tonys, eventually we'll stop having to explain what they are each time =D

There are a few things I know I'll achieve during my life (if it goes on for long enough...):
Have a family, including children.
Live abroad for several years.
Fly to space (that's longterm, about 30-50 years in the future, but I'm pretty sure this will happen, in one capacity or another).
Mighty Jalapeno: "See, Zohar agrees, and he's nice to people."
SecondTalon: "Still better looking than Jesus."

I want to be able to sustain myself without needing to do work, so that I can do whatever creative ventures I like for the remainder of my life. From there, everything's secondary, goals of said creative ventures.
So, I like talking. So if you want to talk about something with me, feel free to send me a PM.

My previous life goal was to have more letters after my name than are in my name.

I achieved that a lot quicker than I expected, so my new life goal is to have more letters after my name than are in all my names, which gives me about 8 more letters to get - two more qualifications. After that I guess I'll either have to get a new goal or change my name.

A big goal of mine (more a life's project, really, since there's not really any end to it) is to learn the lyrics to (and eventually how to play it as well, I guess) a song in as many languages as possible (a different song for each language, that is).
Here's where I'm at so far:
1. English: ...Most of them
2. Spanish: La Bamba
3. Swedish: DOTA
That's all I know at the moment, but here are the songs I plan to learn in the near future:
4. German: Der Kommissar
5. Romanian: Dragostea Din Tei
6. Italian: Voglia Di Dance All Night
Come to think of it, I'm gonna go work on that last one now.
Anyone have suggestions of good songs in other languages?

I always have a goal: Excel at something.
It changes over the time from one thing to another, I can't seem to really focus on something for long enough to actually get it down good enough to consider myself "one of the best" but as long as it's interesting, I'm happy.

I read the title as goats at first, so I'm going to say my new goal as of 2 minutes ago is to have a pet goat. :D

But in all reality, I don't set goals. I can't be bothered. I don't know what I want to do five minutes from now, let alone 5 years.

For fun, it's in the avatar.

For reals, I'm interested in means for getting humans into a full 'mastery' of our world. This includes but is not limited to elimination of most disease, biomimicry, and elucidating the biochemical cues that instigate an orgasm.

Also for fun, it was have a unit of scientific measurement named after me, or part of the female anatomy named after me... Or for my name to incite mass panic when shouted in the streets, "Godzilla ::fleeing japanese citizens!::"

Well, today I worked on one of my goals. I sucked up my pride today at lunch and went across the courtyard to ask this chick (who is pretty much the most attractive/popular lady in my grade)...if I could have her pants.
She said no, and her friends looked mortified.
Then, of course, as I turn away, I hear a call from the next table over...
Her boyfriend is asking what the crap just happened. I calmly explained to him, "She's wearing...purple corduroy...pants...
My...life's goal..."
Then I went back toward the lockers, but I told her "We'll talk later."
That was mildly entertaining. Moreso, however, was the fact that my friend said he'd give me five bucks if I did it.
Even better was the fact that they were watching through a window and couldn't hear anything, so they just got to see everyone's expressions =D

Lifetime to-do list:
Obtain a PhD (just a means to an end)
Obtain employment (independent research) with some bio-tech company
Do something worthy of a Nobel/IgNobel Prize, winning isn't necessary
Bring back 80's hair metal
Finish my lifetime reading list
???
Profit

I guess falling in love and seeing the world would be cool, but they're secondary to the list.
