TimeFan. Ben Heaton has a cat. Raptors eat cats. So anywhere where there are cats, the raptors haven't visited yet.

It is safe (for me) behind my recurve bow with an arrow loaded. That generally works :P

You fool! what about the *OTHER* raptor?

Clever girl...

The other raptors are either in front of me or have multiple walls to travel through. Any problems?

yeah, you've been backed into a corner.
although, i think we're up against utah-raptors, having looked at the wikipedia entry. velociraptors are far from impressive. look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velociraptors then look at the scale.

I was actually very disappointed by the end of Jurassic Park III.

Because I expected a twist ending where the Spinosaurus was eaten.

After all, it competed with 9 ton crocodiles.

Not particularly a problem. Would you rather be in an open field trying to outrun a bunch of raptors? Let me know how that works out. It is a useful defensive tactic to bottleneck when you are against numerically superior forces.

many Utahraptors wouldnt fit through normal doors, so get strong doorframes/walls. And also, utahraptors are less capable in the sneaking area, so I would get more warning. even something that big has to have trouble getting through walls anyway.

Although that would be quite amusing, that would also mean the end of xkcd... DON'T DO IT!!!!

I don't know if it remains true, but there was a time where Randy's sudden death would not have interrupted XKCD comic posts for months.

well. i like the idea of XKCD island... and whatever comes first, zombies, raptors, land...squids... i'm on board. i can offer my yarny-type skills to make us warm things to wear on those cold nights and winters (nevermind that we can move the island to tropical climates... but no no no, thats where the raptors will be waiting...)

if we run out of yarn, THATS OK! i'm irish! i can sense sheep MILES away.

currently, though, i'm more concerned about going to work, with the raptor nightmares and all.... Office buildings have suddenly become containers of suspenseful terror to me... in the dream, the raptors could use elevators.

Wow, this is old, but that raptor-suit is amazing.

*e* I'd love to see something like that running around a theme-park. The problems... I bet it's heavy, hot, and a bitch to maintain :\

I'd love to take two or three of them and go hunting through the back alleys of a city.

The prey would be unsuspecting pedestrians, of course.

there's a large patch of "raptor grass" (scene from the lost world with tall grass with raptors in it) right by my house, and its in between us and the grocery store we go to. So my housemates always want to cut through it as a shortcut. I told them that its raptor grass and now they go around. My house would be really, really hard to raptor proof too, so i'm pretty much screwed.

Also, zombies are pretty bad, but they are slow and predictable.

Raptors are engineered for fear and pain. they also run fast, and are sharp.
